Shambhala camping

I know it already happened this year but i want to know some stuff before my friend and i go up.

How is camping in the festival boundaries? Security tight or pretty relaxed if you're cool about what you're doing/posses? Are there any campgrounds or places out of the festival boundary to camp that are in walking distance (3 or 4 miles at most)? And how sketch is coming over the border?

First of shambhala was fucking sick this year. So here is the run down. Ill try to remember what ur questions were. There arnt any camp sites near shambs cuz you will camp at the actual festival. It costs ten bucks to re enter anyways, so that hella pointless. Security is always talked up more then it is. They have no problem with drugs at all, you can rail, eat or whatever right in front of them. they dont give a fuck. Sneaking stuff in isnt hard, depends on who is searching, sometimes they search hard sometimes they dont. Just be nice. You can basically buy whatever u need in there, they have every drug u can think of, almost everyone iss elling e and what not. BUt back to the campground. So ya u enter and there is a bunch of spots to camp. get there early like on thursday, costs and extra 25 bucks but its worht it. There diffrent areas with diffrent names. example camp fuckrd and over flow. Just take what open.ya and if you have anymore question then just message me.

camping is dirt nasty, everyone there is a bunch of hippies on meth. a quick check on each car is done searching for drugs/alcohol because many people bring in tons, by quick check i mean they look in your window and trunk so very very soft getting in, once you are in its super hyphy. you camp in the festival and if you go out of the place to camp then you are a retard why would you want to do that? im canadian so fuck the border.

hope this helps, sham is fucking sick

all of your questions have already been answered, so therefore.... how fucking sick was sham this year? pretty ridiculous.

I met a fellow newschooler on thursday in fractal when it was still light out, I was trippin balls, so I don't really remember who it was. anyone have someone run up to you with a purple and green fanny pack, neon yellow frogskins, and a ridiculous button up shirt that had several buttons undone? that was me.

I love sham so much and am so frustrated I have to wait a whole year until its "that" time again.

everything has been answered. but i agree about going a day early to camp. we we're in sunshine camp and it was a decent walk away from the festival, kind of a bitch when you just want to go back to grab one thing.

I don't see myself ever making it. Long trip to canada. Probably a good time but there are plenty of cool festivals all over the northeast.

We arrive there late tuesday night, and boy was it worth it. Our camping spot was so good, right on the top of feck mtn, and had a large area all to ourselves because there was no place to camp near by (no even slopes).

I highly recommend going as early as you can, yea you'll be at sham for 6 nights, but is that really a bad thing?

i know they say it every year, but after this year I could see the threats of Shambala getting shut down come to fruition for next year. This being due to two people dying from partying, and the douche who put the dye in the river.

I think 4 days of doing hard drugs and listening to dub-step are a little much anyways. Shambles is not my style.

I can't wait to go when I'm 19. They had my favorite dubstep DJ playing this year, and I hope in a couple years time they can have this sick of a line up again.

we asked an event guy sunday morning and he said all the "deaths" had been rumors.

the dye was gay, hoping your wrong though shamb was awesome i can't wait for next year haha.

as said before, the deaths were rumours, and were people that apparently OD'd with mr.k.

I barely attended any dubstep shows at sham, I went to a few but the majority of the time I was there I stayed away from it and danced to stuff that is more danceable, like thursday night at the rockpit there was soooo much dirty as fuck electro, and friday at fractal. No dubstep. It was phenominal.

may sound like a noob... but where is this festival? I live in Saint John Canada, east coast, and have never heard of it.

im just preparing for when the robots turn. robots don't dance. if you don't like dubstep you'l probably be one of the first to go.

haha but yeah all the music at shamb is great. I got turned on to genres and styles that i'd never really liked before.

and to the guy above ^ its in bc and it's legit as can be.

Awe I just realized I reposted an answer, there was nothing when I started writing my post my bad for sayi g exactly what the first guy said rightafter lolol
