I'm planning on heading up 2 B.C. this year for a month and hit up C.O.C. in whis. When the glacier closes me n my bros r headin on over to SHAMBHALA!!! whhooooot!!! Anyways I was wondering how stiff security is, how do they check you. Ive heard you get a bracelet or something and if so what do they look like. I would really love to buy a ticket but Ive gota save all my money so I can shred the glacier
 
I snuck in last year cause i was too broke, and I had to spend the whole time hiding in tents from security guards. There's wristband checks once you're in, and its damn hard to get in. It took me ~5 hours of lurking through the bus at night to get in. I'm buying a ticket this year, its worth it.
 
if you don't have a wrist band you can easily get kicked out.. u don't want to have that hangin over ur head while having the most fun eva!

It sold out last night unless you can get up there to a store that sells tickets. Most festivals are easy enough to sneak into I think, but I wouldn't want to risk it.
 
It's gotten so large now because all the teenagers hear about it and want to go get splammered. This is the first year my mom isn't going
 
yeah since the dubstep and electronic popularity "phase" teenagers went though last fall and this winter, sham could turn into a shit storm, but i really dont think it will.
 
surprised to see skrillex on the artist list. thought he was going for more *mainstream* festivals. doing the bassnectar thing.
 
haha were gunna bring a summer set up to our camp site for any drug induced ski cravings that may arise when the musics not playing
 
by the way if people hadnt heard yet, bassnectar made room in his schedule and now is confirmed for the village after he said he wasnt.

I hope its not sold out! I was waiting to get the time off work confirmed.... but looks like I should head down to the office and see if I can get a ticket. if its true you can only get tix at the office now, I am living in Nelson so could get tickets for my fellow NSers

fuckkkkk i had a group of friends i was gunna get a ride with, but now they cant go...anyone driving from the vancouver/whistler area that has room for one more? ill obviously pitch for gas and such.
 
Skrillex came here to Seattle, WA in January and played at an awesome shit hole called the King Cat Theater along side Dieselboy and Smash Gordon. It was definitely not a mainstream venue and it was one of my best raves!
 
Scratch that, I'm going. Got a mad hook up from a buddy thats playing. We should have a newschooler meeting somewhere, a certain set where we all go..........
 
Two people i know went to shambhala, here's their two experiences.

Reeeallyyyy would like to go to Shambhala one year... I love the music but I hate clubs, never been to a festival before so Im hoping the atmosphere would be a lil different. Also stoked for all the new tracks and mixes that will inevitably drop in the days after. For anyone going... Have an awesome time, super jealous.
 
So yea, I got in for freeee and everything paid for, cuz a bud of mine is playing...

Now I have a ticket for sale. 250 would be cool to get for it, but Im flexible on the price. The ticket will be in Nelson until Thursday night. Anyone need another?

Oh, and be sure to check out dj Dubconscious, playing at the beach on Thursday at 1:30am!

finally made it back after missing 2 years, almost forgot how crazy it gets! plan on going next year for sure, had a ton of fun once again
