How long does it take to drive from SF to Mammoth?

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It also helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. -- Frank Zappa

5 hr in the summeer when you can go through Yosemite. in the winter it's way longer cause to gotta go up all the way up to south lake and take highway 50

Dude, don't waste your time driving to Mammoth. The Tioga Pass is closed in the winter and thats the quickest way to go. Otherwise you gotta go to Tahoe and south on 395... or down to Ventura and head east through the desert and then north on 395 around the back side of the Sierras. Just go to Tahoe. You've got more options when it comes to resorts.

Keep working hard. Millions on welfare depend on you.

6 hours in the winter. Drive thru S. Lake (3hrs), make a right at Minden and keep driving (2-3+hrs) depending on road conditions. The best is to leave SF @ 2am and be skiing by 9amish. WATCH FOR PIGS IN TAHOE'S.

i think its worth the trek, never been there.
