I really want to try to make it up for this. Does anyone know of any cheap places to stay up there for the weekend?

I'll be there helping out with stuff, but I'm too old and definitely not a strong enough park skier to compete. It should be sick though.

Ya i dont have a chance of winning just going to have a good time. What park is it going to be in?

I'm guessing it will be focused in the Spot, but Springs will must likely build up the Alley so they have a little diversity for the groups in the morning and the finals later on. Both should have really sick setups for the comp though.

there's a hotel at the main lodge just stay there and with all the snow we are getting there should be a nice set up for it. right now theres only two nice jumps and some ok rails but once they build the main park it will be sick. and how old are you guys?

Thats what is so great about this comp. It dont have to go to compete its more of a great time than comp but they do got dope prizes.

Any word on what Seven Springs is gonna do for it? Like are they gonna build a super dope course or what?

I'm 15 by the way.

seven springs will be building their main park this week through next and depending on how much snow we get which so far is alot and its still dumping there should be some big jumps. for some reason the park crew feels the need to put beginner rails and mixes of rollers in some of their intermediate parks which is soo gay but where the slope course will be it is usually sick but the past few winters we havent had the snow this year we do. theres a nice superpipe a big jumpline and some really fun rails and they made alot of new ones this year. they have been getting things done lately so i dont want to assume anything but it should be alot of fun.

Don't expect Dumont and Sammy and Charles Gagnier, although they will be at the finals in Mammoth. Salomon hasn't released any info about who will be where for the 3 stops. It'll most likely whoever isn't competing/traveling/filming at that time. Expect sick younger team riders like Mike Clarke. I'm not saying he'll be there, but you get the idea.

I'm actually thinking the opposite.

The Aspen Open falls on the same date as this stop and the AO is not a pro event so I think Dumont, Carlson, etc. All your big guys will be at seven not Martini, Walker or Clarke because they will be competing in the AO.

We'll see. You have good reasonsing, but I'll believe it when I see it. All of those guys are giong to be at the finals in Mammoth, I just can't see them coming to Springs when they could be filming or competing elsewhere. I really hope you're right though. Being ablen to see those guys ski in person would be amazing.

dumont went to spirit, thats less known then springs. part of the whole point of the competition is for kids to meet the pros

Hi Guys!

We have John Symms, Tommy Ellingson, Nick Martini, Seth Warner and Michael Clarke attending Seven Springs. Additional coaches will be added as more and more kids sign up.....

John Symms and Clarke, soooooo sick. Symms is hilarious and Clarke seems like such a chill guy, NIck Martini too. Should be an awesome time.

go to learn.

it's free.

you have no excuse.

PLUS JOHN SYMMS IS GOING TO BE THERE.

IT'S JOHN SYMMS!

YOU CAN'T SAY NO TO JOHN SYMMS!

simon, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha you have to go symms is hilarious and clarke is such a nice dude

Dude.... that has little to do with going to one of these events. Go.. Everything is always super layed back. Go for the good times and camaraderie, you won't regret it.

killen destroys it no doubt but theres some midwest kids comin from ohio/indiana/etc who destroy it...14/15 yr olds throwing kangs?? whaaaaa

ill prolly show up with a friend. anybody have a condo down there or a house nearby where we can crash on a couch or floor or something? i hate driving a long distance after a long day of riding.

GUYS there is a hotel at the mountain directly at the base.

springs may not be huge but they happen to have a big hotel and lodge

Just want to check, if I already registered to i just print out the two forms and show up with them on the 7th or do i have to send them?

they are starting to work up there jump line as well. Looks like a 35ft/45ft/55ft. Might be done for this weekend.

theres currently a real poppy 30 footer to a smooth 42 ft jump and spt plans on makin anywhere between a 50-70 ft jump to finish the line

thats if 7 springs gets the snow there hoping for this week
