They were ranked better than them in a poll I forget which one. They ranked #7 in North America.

I got more vertical in my pants than Seven Springs.

In the sense of park skiing, all you need is a hill. Seven Springs has plenty enough of it. They build a 22 ft halfpipe and a couple 60 footer jumps.

There were 47 features up at seven springs today, including 3 30-40ft jumps, and a ton of sick rails. What does PC have? Not saying the springs are better rn but I honestly don't know

Yeup. No matter how many rails 7springs has they will never have 500 inches of snowfall/season

True. One thing that Seven springs does is that they try to stay

Open as long as possible. They blow snow as much as possible too in early season so that it'll last a while

Shit on PC all you want but hot damn deer valley was proper today. Definitely my favorite place to ski fresh snow in PC. Motherfuck taking 10 lifts across the mtn to get to 9990 thats tracked by 10.

Utah is fully open and primo for the Xmas holidays 9/10 years. This year I guess is no different. Their mountains for whatever reason have shit tons of fun small to midsized hits on the side of trails I know you find it everywhere Utah just has more of that. Parks an afterthought. Thinking of taking a trip to SLC beginning of January if funds allow it.

And with like 20-40"+, its safe to say christmas again is all-time this year.

DV with impressive snow totals with that SW flow. Would be the place to be today!!!

?? PC has received over 100" of natural this season

sounds a lot like jay peak at the moment (they have 132" so far this season according to their snow report)

Again, no one is trying to brag about how much snow park city gets. PC is located within less than an hour from 7 other resorts who get 400-500" a year and have much better terrain.

Also side note, one of my favorite places to ski, Bridger bowl montana, only gets an average of 350" per year. More snow doesnt always mean better.

OP you seem to forget that just last weekend springs park was what I would politely describe as umm horrible? Maybe? IDK maybe I just suck

Please explain

Because the mountains on the east arent the same as the west, the snowfall isnt the same, the terrain isnt the same.

The east coast has some decent mountains, but none of them compare mountains like the Wasatch.

I've always wondered if people who grew up out west ever make it a point to come east. Most, if not 100%, of us on the east make it a goal to go west at some point. It kind of just blows my mind that there are people who have never skied somewhere that wasn't a huge resort/mountain.

Do you blame us? Spending a bunch of money on a trip to ski somewhere that is subpar to where we ski ever day is pretty backwards. There are so many other places we can go, all of which are much closer and easier to access.

Ive skied on the east coast, its fun but I would never take a 'ski trip' east.

blame you for what? haha I'm confused, I don't blame you for anything haha.

I just think it's interesting. Like to be able to ski both is cool, I think. Each have different things that make them sick. I just know of so many people going west, I wonder if anyone actively seeks going to the midwest or the east for the hell of it. idk.

Hmmm... what would I rather ski....

a resort with a bunch of rails, boxes and small jumps because I'm at a shitty hill with limited vert and no snow or...

a resort with a slightly less number of rails, boxes and jumps but with more vert, terrain and face shot deep pow for the past few days...

hmmmm............

what a tough decision......

You might as well ask a transgender if "he into she" prefers a real vagina vs. a penis cut in half, turned inside out to make it look like a vagina.

Have you skied Bolton on a good pow day? If not then fuck off.

oh it definitely was. Saturday with Ontario Bowl and the wind whipping hard across the slope made for some of the most ridiculous skiing ive had there, dude. Sunday was even more insane with that drier snow total.

Daly chutes got tracked hard but managed to nab like 10th chair up Empire which made for some good surfy skiing.

definitely had the deepest days of park city skiing there. that place is great and being an employee here makes it even more amazing.

The east coast sucks donkeys balls go ski at a mega resort in Europe for a season then go back to a Shitty ice hill on the east coast fuck that shit, if you think that skiing on the east coast is good you have no idea what food skiing is and please go back to your 20 foot rails and 30 foot ice jumps ..

East coast is some fun skiing (parkwise, ive never skied pow), but the west coast will always be better. they just stay open longer. At seven springs, their park setup at full steam can compete. Big mountain and pow skiing will never be up to par with west coast.

in case your east coast joey at the man made molehill of meh was wondering why world class western ski resorts like solitude and alta don't bother wasting effort on stunt ditches or trauma parks

I mean realistically you don't live on the east coast because of the skiing. You live here for other reasons, and then enjoy the mountains as much as possible.

Nobody is ever going to argue that east coast skiing is better than west coast or europe or whatever.

The Wasatch doesn't compare to the shit i'm shredding in the Alps ;)

Can you tell me the other reasons ? Unless you Live in NYC or Montreal I don't really see the appeal what so ever of the east coast ?

Well, I do live in Montreal. :)

I mean if you're younger the simple reason is your parents live there. Not moving across the country if you're 16.

If you're in College - you might have picked a school for its academic merits which was more important for you than being at a ski resort.

If you're working, you might have landed your dream job... but it was on the east coast.

I personally actually like East coast culture better than west coast. I like the relaxed nature of the west coast, but I'm a fast-paced hustler at heart... and for the most part the east coast is just far more like that.

So I mean really if you're talking skiing only, then not living at a west coast ski resort or a city within two hours of one is absolutely fucking ridiculous.

If you're talking about life and people that value certain things in life more than skiing (or are stuck there geographically by situation) then those people love east coast skiing because its what they are able to do.

Deep doesn't even begin to explain shit right now in Utah. I've been skiing in uintas and it's just out of this world snow. I can imagine wasatch front is getting hammered even more.

So much more to come. Days of snow ahead

well, in terms of elevation, I think the Alps are on top. long runs ftw :p

doesn't matter how long the runs are when the snow is horseshit. Utah is getting nuked on with that good ol' featherlight, and I've heard nothing but bad things about Europes season rn :(
