Setting limits in parks

I have heard some rumors about the insurance agencies that ski mountains have. They are trying to limit accidents in the parks. So they are stating to put age requirements, and some even height. I think its a good thing in a way but in a way thiat limits kids to start learning tricks at a young age. What do u think?

remember i only heard it as a rumor not 100% sure if it's true.

 
well that is for pussy parks, i know the park I ski, doesnt do that gay shit

my mountain resericts inverts because of insurance which is gay, but it all depends on if they "see" it cause the park and pipe guys are cool its just ski patrol

same wit my mountain. they restrict inverts but i know the coatch there and he brakes the most rules than neother person ive seen. like he builds jumps through one run through the trees onto the other run. and he goes inverted all the time. noone realy cares. all it means is if u cant do it dont try, like if u can do it other places and someone catches u doin it and u land it then they dont do nething. but if u fall u can get in shit esspescially if u get hurt.

I for one would like to see park passes - maybe it is a lift ticket that is a different color or something. Kids making a clueless pass through the park while out on their one season weekend ruin it for all the true park rats.

some of the sickest stuff goin on out there is the little kids- they arent scared of anything (which might be part of hte problem) but they are the next t halls and pollards, everyone has to start somewhere.

come to stratton if you like that. but it doesnt make too much of a difference. You take a 10 minute course with 50 and 8 year olds then they proced to stand on the lip of the jump even though they just learned not to.

Winter Park n Copper used to be like that, but now they just "don't reccomend it" i think intrawest got smart and jsut let us fend for ourselves. So, hooray intrawest, for now.

Mtn Creeks park pass seems to at lease keep that traffic flow a little smoother in the park, of course u still have ur old ladies with there 5 yr old rolling over jumps n killing lips to rails, but all in all it is a good thing.. truthfully i think it should cost more money to get a park pass then it does. the $5 does not stop as many ppl as it should, mayb a $20 pass for the year would stop all those just there for the day that arnt looking to actually hit a jump

I dunno but the "progression" of dads with kids on tethers straight down the middle of the pipe has got to stop. Pizza wedging the lips is good... Knuckle draggin chatters hiiden below the jump is a classic.

Some respect would be nice like calling your drop - I got one of them groms who has to wait and wait even after screaming drop in - for 20 pizza wedging, yard selling.. I mean come on we all started somewhere, but we always looked up, made sure no one else was coming and then snuck in to try our trick..

dude all they need to do is get a universal park pass for all mtns in which u have to see a video take a small quiz get a 100 and then get ur pic taken and then u can ride any park in the world.....they really need this alot

a universal pass makes sense, ur little vidoe thing i hope wasnt serious... but that would never happen.. posible a park pass for example for all the ASC mountains in VT or something like that, only chians liek ASC would b able to do that

that would b mad gay..my 9 year old brother rips it up in the park and if they put a height and age restriction he wouldnt b able to get in for sure..all its doing is slowing down the progression of the sport

 
ive seen signs and stuff saying no inverted shit but i havent heard anything about that. that would kinda suck tho

I believe they should have no table under 40 feet, with a minimum of 3 tables of 60 feet or over. Also, there should be 3 new rails per season. These are my limits.

I think that is suck a good idea to have a park pass. THat way all the fucking gapper douches that role through the park when they are trying to find the bunny hill won't be able to anymore. At Northstar the park is under one of the lifts so all these people who don't know what they are doing go throught the park and black jumps, sit on landings, and just generally make the park a lot more congested and dangerous for everyone. Keeping those kind of people away from the park is a great idea. Also restricting the littluns from going ion the park is a good idea to. Make them learn how to ski before they venture into the park. Too many grommies can't hartldy turn their shred sticks but they can hit boxes, rails and jumps just fine.

they should just have shitty-parks for the people that can't ski that well, and then better parks for people that actually want to progress and can parallel turn

I have footy of me throwing smooth threes over the biggest table in Park City last winter. I believe it was 60+ feet, but a local would know better.

most mountains have some type of insurance restrictions that stop them from putting stuff up thats too big or too dangerous. getting a park pass, like stratton, eliminates a lot of that insurance because you actually sign a waiver.

 
restricting inverts doesnt really work when park guys throw rodeo 5s and switch mistys all day now does it? im pretty sure my mtn just warns people they are dangerous.

At my "park" it says inverts are not recommended, but in comps put on by the mountain, you cant throw straight over inverts.
