The question is how do they blast through avalanche debris, and tracked out two day old sierra cement? That's what I want to use them for.

In avi debris they are wicked. Was making some long turns in the backcountry in knee deep when all the sudden I hit these big chunks of avi debris. The tips just ride right over them and never lost my balence through the turns.

you know schmies i used to be a believer in that myth, but now i'm not so sure. solely from flexing TM's and pistols in the shop, i'd think that they are both super noodley and unstable, but everyone who rides them seems to think the opposite, even though you can pretty much bend the pistols inh half....maybe i should ski them and find out

gotta love getting advice about 'how great k2's are' from a guy who rides for their team. wonder if he's a little biased? i could have ridden the pistols if i wanted to, but i haven't because i've talked to too many people who say they suck and aren't worth it. i'd rather try other skis. i never like a ski that i hear cracking when i flex it in a store.

last emporer, many skis crack, its supposed to happen, its the top sheet that does it. last year when i was working at a ski shop in jackson, we flexed a lot of the skis so that we got those initial cracking sounds out before the customers got their hands on them. its supposed to happen, you were probably flexing a pair that hadn't been flexed before.
