Seth Vicouse vs. Gotamas

Hi

I think that i might have some Money left and wanna put it into some brand new Ski´s. Since i have my Troublemakers for the park. I need some Big Mountain/Powder Skis. Heres the Situation, i live in Austria (mayrhofen) we dont have that long Runs like you would have it in Alaska, and not that much Powder too (witch is both Fucked up :-) I like going Fast and take some Cliffs. But at all i need a Ski that Turns really easy but at the same Time is quite Stabel when it comes to speeding.

I have a great deal on a Brand new Gotama (05/06) and maybe a Seth Vicous too. Witch one would you Guys choose and Why? Did anybody tryed one of those bad ass Ski´s already? Opinons would be great!

Either or would work great for you. The Gotamas are burlyer and heavier so take that into considaration. If I were you I'd go for whichever one you can get cheaper.

 
I had both of them in my hands and the new Gotamas seem to be not much heavyier then the Seth Vicous´s. What about the Sidecut of them, i think i need the room of the State of Alaska to make a Turn with the Gotamas? Otherwise i will go for the Gotamas i would get them pretty Cheap.

I don't think you need a ski as fat as the gotama if you're not riding powder.

Maybe the seth pistol, or the seth vicious I guess.

maybe even some mad trix mojos which are super stable, and pretty wide.

how do gotamas go for switch/bigair, cos i like a stable ski, but their tail shape looks a bit weird, but i want a fatty over 100 mm thats pretty stiff and stable.

Dude i wanna ride Powder for Life, just we dont have that much. Is there a really Big Different when it comes do Riding between a Seth Vicous (98mm) and a Gotama (105mm)? How would you mount the Bindungs on a Gotama? If you wanna Rock Pow and do Cliff Drops?

the visious are gunna turn alot easier in less snow, and the gotamas are just gunna destroy the pow, its a tough call.

Yeah! Thats what i am talking about...But i am opend Mindet for any other Suggestions. It should be over 90mm Waist line. Twin Tip would be cool too.

 
Do anybody know about what they changed on the new Gotama this year? I heared it not as good as the 2005 Modell? Any Fact´s?

Between those two for you i would say pistol, but you should look into the mantra, see if you can get a deal on them because they seemsalmost perfect for you.

I don't have any problems turning in my gotamas, but the bigges thing is you have to be used to keeping a ski on edge because they float like a mofo on groomers. The gotamas are sick for switch pow to and super stable in the air but alot harder to throw like spin flip combinations just cuz they are burly. The 05's are going to be better the 03's have issues cracking but everyyear they get better.

dude...i live in america and i have stayed in that town twice to ski.....u have suck skiing compared to east coast....im on chronics....there kinda fat so a good like hybruid ski

the 05-06 gotamas are the best ones made so far. ptex sidewall is gonna killllllll. as far as im concerned the gotamas are the shit and any k2 fat ski other then the made'n isnt worth getting cuz theres a bunch of skis that are way better.
