Seth Vicious review

Yesterday I bought the 179 Seth Vicious and today I took it out. I'm 5'10" about 170lbs. I mounted them at +3 for all-mountain use. The first couple runs I spent on the groom and kind of felt them out. The edge hold was awsome, and rolling from edge to edge wasn't as much of a chore as I thought it might be. Tips chatter alittle at speed but I kind of expected that from the soft tips. After I felt more comfortable with them I went to the top and skied steep tracked powder and they were, again, awsome! Then I found untracked power in the trees, they float nicely with alittle lean. Overall the best ski I have ever owned! Questions?

Yea, I can only base my reviews on my own experience.

However, I'd think the 169/179 Vicious would be a great ski for even the smallest of dudes.

Nope, but I guess its slightly fatter and the tail is more stiff.

I still have a grin on my face from yesterday, this ski throws down on anything!

^ what about its performance in the park and in tight spots (ie: tree runs)

are they easy to spin with? And manouever - does the wider waist make it cumbersome?

anyone skied the 179 and 189 vicious and want to tell me how different they are. Im just interested how the same ski in a different length can be different.

Uh...the standard reply which is pretty objective-

-Longer

=harder to flex, harder to turn, not as nimble, not as easy in bumbs.

=Better float in powder. Faster because of less psi on the snow. More payoff if you can handle it.

i skied the 189 pistol center mounted yesterday. their sick for landing switch in pow.

I'm not going to take mine in the park, but Im sure if you mounted them forward they would perform well. They do very well in tight spots and pretty much anywhere else, spinning is alittle akward due to my mount point but again a forward mount would help that.
