Seth Vicious Review

I took my new seth vicious up for the first time on sunday and they worked great. My set up is the Vicious 169 with the new rossi scratch 120 bindings mounted at plus five on the ski graph. For the first half of the day I mainly skied alot off steeps and powder with a few clifs ranging from 5-8 feet. The skis did amazing in all of these catagories. While my friends were strugaling in the powder (it was really deep, I just floted on top. I wiegh about 130lbs and the skis were a little chatery in more choped up snow but other than that were great during the morning. After lunch I skid more on groomed runs to get the feel of the skis. They worked very well in those conditions as well, just being a little slower edge to edge then skiiner skis. As the upper mnt closed I started skiing the easyer runs fakie. At plus five the ski was good fakie as well. The only problem was it was a little harder to innitiate a turn then it was skiing forward. This might have been different if they were mounted at true center instead. On the last run I skied a section of mougles and was very suprised by the ski. It did not turn to slow and performed well. When I first got these skis I was a little worried about how big they were (they are about 1cm taller then I am) because K2 meassueres the Maidden and Vicious differently then the rest of their skis. However the ski worked well for me. I would recimend these skis to people who ski atleast 30 percent powder. The mountain I was at does not have a park so I did not get find out how they do in there but I will soon. If you rarely ski powder this ski is not for you. And if any one plans on buying this ski I would recemend that the buy a lttle bigger then normal. For my set up and what I skied I would give this ski about 9 out of 10 because no ski can get a 10 out of ten.

nice review, so i guess they are pretty soft since they chatter a bit in the rough stuff.

sick ski, i just wanted it to move more towards a big mountain ski and be stiffer. it seems like its turning into a all mountain jib ski, and id like it to be stiffer for goin fast and such. but since i havnt tried them yet, i have no room to complain.

seriously shut the fuck up. What was the point of that comment? You talk out of your ass alot. There is LOTs of deep powder in WA, UT, CO that has been being skied for awhile now.

yea 4 the guy asking bout vicious' in the park i demoed them at high north and they are great in the park, slower swing rate tho but thats normal in fat skis

"because K2 meassueres the Maidden and Vicious differently then the rest of their skis."

Please explain this because I find it hard to believe.

I was in the shop yesterday flexing them and they're not soft at all. I'd guess that it was pretty rough and anything'd chatter a little.

I'm probably going to get a pair of 179s. My friends want me to get the BCs but just so they can watch the little trick DVD.

The maiden and Vicious are measured at actual length so a 169 is actualy 169cm tall most skis are measured by material length so the ski stands a little shorter (about 4-6cm) then the length.

The chattering probably has to do with the fact that he's only 130 lbs. These skis are meant for bigger riders, and more downward pressure would probably keep them from chattering.
