Seth Morrison Chronicles -Eric Pollard

Ok. i was gonna post this in the thread bout his lil push edit, but i think it deserves its own thread.

Eric pollard, is in my opinion, the number 1 most influencial skier in our time. i dont even have to explain why, cause most of you already understand (if you dont, go get and watch as much of his footage as you can). i dont know about you guys, but i am just so intrieged with his ridding, how he does things, etc etc, i think a seth morrison style documentary about pollard, from his early begginings to his current ridding, as well as a lot of commentary and background would be mind blowing. for everything he has done for the sport, he deserves his own movie, to say the least.

who wants to see it happen?

oh yeah, iberg should def. make it(maybe as a counter/bonus movie to the new movie next year?)

that would be sick, i just watched the clip of him on the Helly site and it was fuckin nasty. he has such a big influence on skiing and a documentary would be awesome.

Pollard's off limits ladies(and gents).

You'll get a similar movie this winter with Pollard and two other influential dopesters.

yes, im aware, trust me, it will probly be the only film i ever actually preorder. but still something more indepth...

Yeah, they have a little biography on him in the Helly Hansen Free movie Happy Happy. It's pretty dope.

they shouldnt make that movie for at least 2 more years, pollards gonna keep doing amazing stuff for years to come

pollard is dope i got a pair of pollards and those are dope but seth is my idol i worship that guy he rips the back country like none other pollard rips to but seth is d-shiznit

i thought this was supposed to stay under wraps for a little bit...but now that the cats out of the bag

gt and brad holmes are also starring in the flick

by coincidence i mean reaction/explanation

pollard is the man, but bring it to AK already, w/o jumps/fixed takeoffs, and do ti on 50+ ft cliffs

pollard is my god too - id kill everyone in this forum for his style,

yeh, that means you too.

But that said, he hasnt influenced skiing like seth - YET. Hes gotta get even more visable, its his sort of efortless style that will get kids to not start snowboarding if they see how steeze skiing can be when its done right (ie, gorillaz shouldnt ride pow, its just ugly).

i agree that he schould get his own movie, but iburg schould not do it. Kris Osteness schould do it. The reason for that is because of well he is on his game ( Teddybear Crisis) and well Kris and Pollard are extreamly good friends. Pollard has worked with Kris on soo many shoots and movies that they just have a great feel for each other. Ohh and not to mention they were both on line skis at the very begining.

I thought this too, then I recently got Focused by MSP (2003). He skis some pretty big lines in Norway pretty fast, decent sized cliffs as well, and probably on crappy old Motherships too.

Of course he is nowhere near Seth, no one is, that man is a god.

my bad. your 100 prcent right. for some reason, i didnt even think of Kris. he and iberg are my 2 fav producers, by far.

im sure pollard skis some intenes shit, i'm just atlking about bringing his tricks to thes lines...it always seems like he has a jibbing part to his seg (w/ booters etc) and then a big mountain one...he needs to combine them...and throw shit liek seth does, first time on some crazy peak, no prepartion of the takeoff etc....imagine him thrwoing a steezy 180 off a AK 50fter at the bottom of some sick line? or a cork 3 off a 60 fter halfway through a gnar AK setup?

That would be dope, but very hard to do, which is why Seth and a few others (Dana Flahr) do tricks off cliffs in real lines with no takeoff prep. It would be so hard to have the right balance on take off at high speed.
