The anti-war protests by Americans are just fucking retarded. Some of our soldiers are sitting in a Iraqi prision right know probably being forced to watch you assholes protest them on tv. What do you think that does for their morale? They are fighting to keep us safe and they have to watch you assholes protest them because you don't have anything better to do.

Our war against Iraq is absolutely necessary. Saddam has and is supporting terrorists who target the U.S. He has weapons of mass-destruction and missiles which he said he didn't have. A 100 acre chemical weapons factory was just discovered. Saddam has used these weapons on Iran and even on his own people. Very similar comparisions can be made to Saddam and Hitler. Hitler annexed Austria right before taking over and wagging war on all of Europe. Just like when Saddam tried to annex Kuwait. Who knows what would have happened if he had been allowed to continue.

Some hippies say it is all about oil and we are just trying to steal their oil. That is absolutely rediculous. The world and the UN would not allow anything like that to occur even if we even thought about trying it.

The UN didn't fully back us on the war because of legal technicalities and how Saddam should be disarmed not becasue they support Saddam's regime.

You people have let your emotions distort your perceptions of the realities of the situation.

I totally agree with the first post. Nobody wants war but it is a necessary evil to rid the world of a greater evil. What I find incredible is the amount of people that are protesting the war and are not informed about it.

One more thing, if a terrorist wanted to make a big impact nowadays what better place to do it than at one of these big anti-war rallies. You walk in there with a bomb and there are 1000's of defensless people around you.

In all seriousness, you need to get some things figured out here. The protests you speak of are ANTI-WAR protests not ANTI-SOLDIERS protests. What the fuck do you think these protests are for? Can't you see the whole reason people are out protesting is because they don't want lives lost, be it both soldiers and citizens? Isn't it more disrespectful for you to sit here and support their fighting for some their deaths. You've obviously not come anywhere near any of these protests. Each of them clearly states that they fully support the troops. You can support the soldiers and not the reason for war. There isn't anyone out there on the streets of this country yelling ' our soldiers suck! our soldiers suck!.' These people, myself included, are not bashing the soldiers. Thats pretty clear to see, which is why your post makes you sound like you have cotton in your ears. I'm protesting because I care more about the sake of their lives rather than the fuel meter in my car.

Where is the proof sadam is supporting terrorists? Sadam is not the root of anger of the terrorists. The actions of the U.S. is this fuel. You can't destroy their resources no matter how hard you try. Oil. I find it interesting that U.S. and British forces find the time to capture oil fields on their way through Iraq...just a tad convienent, huh. We all know the oil monopoly that will occur post war in the new ' government' which will be set up. The U.S. will undoubtedly take their pick, giving them an advantage far above the rest of the war with Iraq's oil reserves on hand. Come on, don't deny it. Stop the denial E$$0

Lets talk about the UN. Have you read the ' New American Century' document? It speaks of the U.S. clearing doing away with the UN. Legal technicalities? Enlighten me. I didn't think they backed the war at all. The actual UN charter outlaws preemptive attack. So ' technically' if you want to say the UN in complete fundamental backround is laid out to oppose actions just as the U.S. is taking. Is that a legal technicality? I think completely violating the charter and what the entire organization stands for isn't a mere 'technicality'.

people have the right to hold anti-war protests just as much as people posses the right to hold pro-war rallies. and contrary to what you have stated, people other than 'hippies' oppose the war.

Googoo sperm whatever that kids name was made a fairly intelligent response to my post. I'm not saying that I agree or he is correct. I must commend him for giving a better argument than 'We are just trying to steal their oil.' On the topic of oil. We are taking control of their oil fields not to steal them but to makesure they do not set them on fire creating an environmental disaster and leaving the Iraqi people nothing to build on after the Saddam regime.

-sadaam allows his sons to rape, murder, and torture (which is contrary to islam) just for fun

-sadaam allows his people to starve while he uses his $ for weapns of mass destruction (sounds alot like communist russia doesnt it, hmmmm...) as well as extravagent palaces 1.7 miles long.

I read this morning that the US claims about Iraq's weapons were based mostly on forged documents and the FBI is now under investigation from it. So I guess nobody can use that arguement to support the war anymore.
