Set and forget Camera. What do I get?

Hey NS,

I work in the event business and need a find a camera with an SDI out. This camera will be left stationary on a tripod for hours at a time recording people crossing finish lines at races around the country. I need to best video quality I can, but also need a camera that can be thrown in a pelican and shipped across the country. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I currently use a PXW-X70 if that helps.

2) What experience do you already have with cameras?

Lots.

2) What gear, if any, do you currently have? (tripod, old camera lenses, mics, etc)

Have access to anything I need.

4) What are you planning to shoot and how do you want to use your camera?

I need to set this camera on a tripod and leave it recording for up to 10 hours at a time.

7) What computer do you currently have/use to edit? N/A

I mean just search for the cheapest sony handicam with HDSDI, found these in about 30 secs

Also has anyone used something like the Marshall Cv500-mb in this sort of situation? It's not ideal, but the price is right.

Buy a real camera, that thing is like a security camera haha looks fucking awful
