Serious Question about Tall Tees

do-not-feed-the-trolls.jpg

i dont think many people really care. the real question is why do you? they're doing what they're doing everyone has there own style no need to hate on people cause they wear tall tees. chill out.

tall tees keep you dry. true they get wet, but theres no chance that wetness will soak through a layer or two plus pants and or a jacket. plus tall tees are very aerodynamic.

first statement is valid though.

This is a rhetorical question....of course it's for fashion. What would be another reason?
You're not superior because you understand that tall tees aren't functional. I love how anyone who doesn't "conform" thinks they're so fucking clever.

k so here's my two cents'

Tall-Ts are representative of a "type of skier" if you wear one, you typically want to and become identified by this park, urban, freestyle skiier.
Sure not everyone likes how they look, but the fact of the matter is fashion can be what ever you want it to be,
Be it rocking Lada Gaga outerwear '10 on the slopes or Tall ts. People have the right to choose what they wear, sure you can make fun of who ever you want but just know, maybe they are making fun of you too.
Because the people that can actually express themselves and choose what to do with their lives are free.
And skiing is a sport all about being free.

This. If anything, this is the op stating his dislike of tall ts to show what he, and some others, believe as some form of superiority. Just cause you hate tall ts (or 100 switchups on one rail and the amount of doubles at a competition) does not make you smart or superior. That comes up a lot on here. When given the chance, people like that hate on whatever is current in skiing. Obviously the tall t isn't keeping him warm or acting as a waterproof layer. He most likely likes the look.

Um.....Not reallyWatch video's from x games ski eventsthe pipe and big air both have huge crowdsThere are big crowds at the bottom of slopestyle runsSo fuck youAre you saying that if you ski park you are automatically a douchebag? What is so HORRIFYING about rollerblading? I rollerblade and it helps me with my rail game. What does tall tees have to do with park skiing being an unpopular, "bad" form of skiing? You are just judging people by what they wear because either:
A: You are insecure about yourself and how you are seen.B: You are on your period.C: You are just a sad person that tries to get joy out of attempting to make people feel stupid, which they are not.D: All of the above
Choose your answer. We are waiting...

I see this thread is rolling along nicely.
I was at SIA one year and went to the EMPTY, boring and quiet, side of the ski exhibit area and asked this pro skier, "dude, you used to be a pro rollerblader, right?! Dude working the booth with him LOL'd.
BURN.

I dont do the tall tee thing but I do wear a tall jacket and look like a "gangster" as you'd say.

And yes, it is a style thing. I think that most of us do it in an effort to separate ourselves from racers and whatnot. People can tell at first glance that we're park skiers, and that's what we want to be seen as.

People can wear what they want, I don't really care that much. I might look stupid to some people, but I like how it looks.

when I wear it, it's not tht bad.

but it's like part of what I ski in, it's comfy.
I usually tuck it in tho so the bottom doesn't get all wet and soggy.

to answer ur question. it's cuz they don't wanna change up their style, they just toss on what they have. (no pun intended)

I am right there with you on that brah. I wear a big ass jacket, no fucking tight ass shit. I did just get a Holden kit flowed to me....really nice Scholer fabric, great cut and design.
its the fucking lame ass tall tees poofing out like a dress at the bottom ( see recent Torstein video with a dress on).
You can do what you want, but I can have my opinion about what you do.

I thin it looks good if its not like HUGE. What looks goofy is when the tee is like a good 4 inches longer than the jacket.

1-2 inches longer and it looks okay. It's impractical, but it's a style thing

was that a proposition? i am a little excited....no homo....well wait.....no, really, no.

the 3-4 inches below dress tall tee thing has to go peoples.....shit is wack.

I swear i've been looking for 15 minutes for your post where you said something like: Tall tees are the most stupid thing you can wear skiing

i can't find it

lucky you are

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that

1. You snowboard (not a problem but you obviously hate us skiers)

2. Are about 13 years old

3. Are a hater

4. Care alot about what other people wear

5. Troll?

Ok i did'nt read all the post's in this tread but its called NEWSCHOOLERS for a reason and i bet that over 80% of the kids on this site wear tall-tee's every day of the season, no matter what condition.

the point is you change opinion from thread to thread depending on whether you feel like hating or not

So i just skied some wet ass pow today, and instead of putting on my huge T and sweater i put on a larhe WESC sweater and a t i wear to school. the bottom 1cm of my wesc sweater was DRENCHED. I cant imagine how my tall t and my custom sweater would have been. im so glad i didnt wear that.
so when the snow is in large quantities and wet, dont wear tall shit, i dont get the people who do...
