September Skiing in Washington Mt Baker

Our original was to ski from the summit but sustained 50 mph winds and uncertain weather turned us around about 1500 vertical ft short. Luckily a storm earlier in the week covered all the sun cups making for excellent smooth skiing.

there is always skiing to be had in washington any time of year, just gotta put in a little effort sometimes.

THAT WAS SICK! Can't believe how good the snow looked. Also, I didn't know that just skiing over what appears to be crevasses is safe....
