September 23rd you could be skiing at loveland

What the fuck? I don't buy it. They've never opened that early. Either way, I will not be disappointed if it goes down :)

and depressing to think my hill wont open for at least 2 more months after that...
 
Yikes. That sucks.

Mine usually opens around Halloween, but that's only the Bunny Hill (beginner hill) set up with rails and boxes and little kickers.
 
You're probably right.

Last year they opened on october 4th or 7th or something like that and it was the earliest opening in some crazy amount of years.

I won't get my hopes up for a september opening though, although that would be really sweet.
 
i think it just says they are firing up the snow guns on the 23rd. not opening? crazy if it happened tho
 
Ya the article just says they want to fire up the guns on the 23rd. no way they will open before october something unless we get a freakeshly long cold front in late sept
 
the mountains out here need more than a day of snowmaking before they are skiable, this isnt the eastcoast where a foot of snow is good to ski on
 
We dont fire up the guns until late november kinda lame considering they usually have good opportunity's before
 
well with all this shit about warm weather this winter I doubt they will open that early, if even 2 months after that
 
loveland is my home mountain i live in silver plume and i cant see this happening, they dont even start snow making for another month and 18 days. bit id that did happen holy nuts imma b shreddin soon!!!!
 
how is loveland in the early season? they obviously dont open with much but how much is usually open by november?
