i think instead of getting pissed and blowing up other people (yes they are people too, they have families too, they feel the same way when one of their family members died, and most of them aren't terrorist families either) we should learn from it, and see what provoked them to do it. they hate us, but why.

i havent seen any sitcoms that made fun of september 11th. I dont think there ever will be. Noone makes fun of pearl harbor.

well tomorrows the day. We're supposed to wear red white and blue to be patriotic. Hmm i might wear a red shirt or something.

We told japan we were gonna bomb them. They could have surrendered. They were gonna fight until everyone died if we didnt drop those bombs. Dropping the bombs ended the war sooner and actually made the war result in less casualties.

^your wrong. we shouldn't have been in world war 2, ok, your joking? if we hadn't been inolved (which would've been impossible), Hitler would've whooped up all those European countrys. Asia would've been in some bad shit with Japan too. It was nessicary we got invovled. i dont think iraq was nessicary.

 
I remember everything about being told about it, its not something you forget, even for the majority of canadians who had never even heard of the WTC, but it was a universal tragedy, people from all over the globe worked there, and it was all brought on by some bad choices. Its just like the day kennedy was killed, no one forgets where they were when they heard he was shot, no one will forget where they were 9/11.

If we're talking about americas mistakes now, ww2 is alright they should of been in it, but heroshima isnt, that was by far the biggest bombing ever, and horrible if you think about it. im not gonna talk about it, but really how can you justify that?

dude sorry i worded it wrong not us as in american shudnt have been in WW2 i just meant it shudnt have happened just like vietnam think of all the jews killed for nothing the war was fought over greed..the japenese need for a bigger empire the nazi party wanting jews out of the picture think of what it was like to be thrown in a trench of fire or told you would be taking a shower and instead your gassed every day being beaten because of your religion...do u guys even realize that that war had no purpose...but its just my opinion

 
Yeah, in the idealistic world there would be no war, but unfortunetly we cant live that way, people have there differences, and its always gonna be, people resort to violence to solve problems. Its sad, i hate it. but theres not much we can do..

Religion is definately a scapegoat for war. The best line about religion is from Dogma (Rufus's line - Chris Rocks character) - something like, religion started out as a good idea, then people turned it into a belief, and people are willing to kill and die for a belief, which then made religion a bad idea.

The stupid thing is without Judaism there is no Catholisism, and without Judaism and Catholisism there is no Islam. So why do the three hate each other so much? People should believe whatever brings them comfort. And if people took their heads out of their asses, they would realize that all major religions (except Bhudism) are based on the same tenent (ideas), and everything else is just twisted to suite their environment.

Religion has been an excuse for far too long, and its ideas have become so bastardized and abused that the true meanings have become lost over the years.

The real problem is hate. Especially unjustified hate. And the hate only grows stronger the more people (especially innocent people) killed.

i know the rest of the world may hate us right now but nothing can justify what happened that day. don't get me wrong, i hate the U.S.'s new 'Pax Americana' imperialistic bullshit but those 3,000 innocent people had nothing to do with that. i don't care if you hate our government, it wasn't out government that died that day.

 
mabey 9/11 wasn't that funny . What i do find funny however is that lack of knowledge that so many of the people on here speak with. IT sounds to me like ,many of you need to pay attention in social class, specifically the history part of things. ONce you are informed and educated on the history aspects of world war 2 and such others then possibly it would be logical for you to make a valid point. However i am glad to listen to the points several people have made on here, as it is obvious to those who understand politics and history who the intelects are. Flame me if you wish, but it will only prove one thing. normally i don't post, as i get many laughs out of just reading what some of you write.i do not need to say any names as you know(should know) who you are.

hey mate, you had government spelt right the first time. And about those 3000 innocent people dying, i couldn't agree more. They had nothing to do with American foreign policy or any of that bullshit and definitely didn't deserve to die but i can also see how a lot of nations would see that bombing as the US getting a taste of its own medicine. Tens of thousands of innocent people died in south america at the hands of US backed dictatorships, most famously in Chile. In the Vietnam war no-one thought twice about bombing the shit out of civilian populations that were just triying to eke out a living in one of the most hellish warzones ever. And then we come back to the big ones once again, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The only two times that Weapons of Mass Destruction were used in war and used against large civilian centres, targets where the only military value is to demonstrate how many people the bombs could kill. All of this isn't to justify the attacks on the world trade centre just to point out that over the last 40 years the US pretty much has the monopoly on attacks on civilian populations.

Dude, the US has either instated or backed nearly every evil dictator that has existed since the establishment of a corporate america! Saddam was a government employee and was also an agent for the CIA! And bush senior's father (bush's grandpa) funded the company that built all the nazi concentration camps and supplied most of the weapons to the nazis! It's all about money, that's all, and until people realize that money is only worth something because they think it is (like in their head), this shit is going to keep happening just like it has since the existence of man...

haha and its funny cuz we backed the real bad ones 'that are fundementilist wacko mass murderers' in the middle east during the cold war(i guess cuz they had oil or were fightng the russians or the whole shaw itolla kamamie thing that confuses me) . but we had a hissy fit over fidel who really isnt that bad of a guy, who has never commited genocide or mass murder.

granted he doesent give his people very much of the freedoms we have here but people in cuba are actually fairly happy with him, and he even personally helped a american lady get her son back that was taken to cuba, i guess as a return favor for elian gonzalez deal. so atleast hes a man of honor.

 
yeah, i honestly believe that the only reason that president moron has not attacked cuba is because nobody really cares anymore... except the thing to remember, George W was not elected by majority vote. Gore had more individual votes, but Bush got more electoral college points (gotta love when your good ole' brother comes to the rescue - hmmmm, Florida was the key state, many indications of corruption in the voting, and oh yeah, Jeb, the governor, is George W's bro - a little fucked up I think). Would that have made a difference, who knows, can't turn back the clock, we can only learn from the mistakes of the past.

 
i think striking back the way we did was messed up. the way i think it is ...it is a big circle kinda. They bomb us we fight al quaida right so then we go afghan and start killin. what started all that was when russia tried to occupy the country. we sold them missiles and equipement to help them rid off the russians. we even helped but we never helped put there country back together after they shot the hell out of the country. So religion blew it up and it became a religion war because we didnt help anything but escalate problems. So now iraq is gonna do its propaganda and say its a religion war and boom another bin laden so to speak. then talk its people into strapping bombs to them selves to kill US troops. iraq is now a terrorist home. it has grown to like 5000 in the passed months al quaida terrorist since US has been there. if you make it through that props . just my opinion. what do you think?
