My friend had a pair of new kartell 108s and sold them for a Line blends was this smart, I want hear your opinion, Thanks God bless

Dumb choice. While the blends may suit his style better, they seem like pretty similar skis in terms of performance, but he just took a massive durability hit

They’re not at all the same skis. The Kartels are way stiffer than the Blends, the reason that people can ski the Kartels is because the rocker is huge and their technique is on point.

OP it’s all about what suits the skier best, I personally wouldn’t make that trade but that’s because I don’t like super soft skis. If he’s happy then power to him! The durability aspect is definitely true to an extent, but Blends aren’t cheap twigs and their durability has markedly improved in recent years.

the blends gonna start peeling like wall paper, on3p vs line durability wise is just incomparable

I've never skied blends, but Kartels really aren't that stiff. I believe you that they are way stiffer, but if that's the case, the Blends must be noodles and makes my opinion that the trade was bad even more solidified.

But that’s just it it’s your opinion. If the guy likes to swerve and butter and just ski park then maybe the Blend works. There’s no subjective “this ski is better” when we’re talking about skis like this. Now if it had been a Kartel trade for like a Rossi Experience 80 that’s a different story

Yeah that's why I called it my opinion. I've skied a few other Lines and they are definitely fun to ski. My only problem with them is durability but like you said, it seems like it's gotten better lately based on what I've heard. Still can't compare to ON3P...

Blends are a cool ski, but as previously stated... There is nothing like an ON3P ski. You won't find a ski with a better reputation in this core community of enthusiast skiers than them. Skis are all preference, but personally I won't ride anything else now.

If they were brand new ON3P’s and he sold them cuz he doesnt give a shit about riding the obviously nicer ski because he wanted to make that couple hundred in profit you can barely even blame him. If he bought last years models blends he could probs buy 2 pairs so the durability isnt even an issue.

Have you personally had a problem with them? I've had two pairs, the second of which I beat the shit out of for over 150 days, with a lot of hiking rails, preseason and early season skiing, and even some street and they held up just fine. I still use them for my indoor ski for when I go back to NJ and ride Big Snow so that I don't have to fly skis back and forth with me from SLC. Honestly the Blends are awesome ski and I'd bet most of the people talking shit on them in here have never skied them, let alone broke them. Its no wonder they're the ski of choice for so many pros. If they were pieces of shit that wouldn't be the case.

Pros break all kinds of skis all the time... They get replacements easily and free so they just care about performance, in which case I'm sure they love their Blends, even if they break them all the time (not saying they do, just saying if they did, they prolly don't mind)
