a month ago, the head and all the electronics chips in it have been cleaned and tested by professional. cost me around 150$.

used it for 5-10 hours

for 500$ i will give a brand new 42'' toshiba plasma screen lol

are u kidding me, this is a 3ccd camcorder

dont wanna be a dick, but $1000+???

it was worth $3000 when it was released... 6 years ago. This is an old camera that has been surpassed by many. its second hand, the heads have been cleaned, its been exposed to excesssive cold for long periods of time, not HD and also tapes are a thing of the past and HD HDD recording is the way forward.

i'd be happy with $1000 if i were you.

HDD is not the way forward...yet. There are NO and I repeat, NO consumer priced camcorders that record on HDD and surpass the tape equivalents. Not yet. The HVX is incredible, I'll admit it, but for now tapes are still the standard, and probably will be for a while. I would say that for everything he's selling with $1000-1200 would be a fine price.

bahahahahaha are u fucking kidding me man??? go on every 3ccd forums, skateboard forum, and the price of vx 2000 is around 1000-1300$.. seriously im pretty sure u cant find a vx2000 in good shape for 500$ wtf!! where a u living man? not to be a dick, but u should look before talkin..

I giggle at how much you think you know what you're talking about. HDV is barely better than DV and HDD is all pretty stupid. p2 and avchd are 10 times better and most cameras that are HDD are some shitty one chip camera with HIGH DEF HARD DRIVE RECORDING drawn on it when it does a shit job.

vx2000 > any camera less than DVX, period. If you don't know that then you're an idiot. The only reason the dvx is better is because its dvcpro, a better DV. Obviously some HDV cameras like fx-1 are better too, and the pd series is slightly better, but saying a shitty HD HDD camera is better is quite silly. Tapes are still a very modern thing, they wont be behind for a couple more years.

HDD is not ina ny way stupid. granted, the cameras that claim to have HIGH DEF HDD recording tend to be of a shitty quality and record to flash memory. these are a long way behind tapes, dont get me wrong. i never said a "shitty" HD HDD camera was better, as it is clear we are talking about expensive prosumer product here. i'm not trying to compare a $3000 camera with a $1000 HD handycam of today. you have both misunderstood me.

i was stating my opinon, as is the nature of forums, that a 6 year old camera (that after some searching on the internet i found for $1400, new), that has had the heads cleaned is not worth much more than $1000, if any.
