I smell a lawsuit.

On one hand you have semi-legit medical advice coming from one member, while Rowen is equating the simple task of tightening your pins to mounting bindings.

Quality advice.

 
I was actually more equating this to sinking lag bolts into MDF, hahaha. Thought it would be a good example that people might be able to relate to.
 
The main problem one would encounter is how to properly sterilize one's equipment. To kill all fungi, bacteria and eliminate bacterial spores, prions and viruses equipment must be heated to 300 degrees and subjected to high pressure. Do you have sterile gloves? Not plastic gloves in a pack of 50, I am referring to proper sterile gloves. Even in a hospital, under the best possible circumstances, people still get serious infections. The chances that you will not get an infection is close to zero. If you are prepared to deal with that, then by all means....

Hope this is a joke.

he doesn't need to worry about prions, and barely viruses. the main thing is bacteria. and where did you ever learn 300 degrees? to properly denature a prion or virus in an autoclave is 138ish degrees. and with dry heat 160 degrees. although most proteins will have denatured long long before then

Dah fuck man, that's pretty intense. I mean I have fixed an ingrown toenail or two, but fuck making incisions and dat stuff.

My advice would be to find a friend who is a doctor, or possibly a student in medical school to do it.

Same thing. I had one for about a year and the doctor kept giving me stuff to put on it and it didnt work. One day after skiing i was fed up with the pain from it so I took out my knife and just cut it off. Never came back and never got infected.
 
hey u should download amateur surgeon app to pick up tips. sure its cartoon and he uses a pizza cutter, a lighter and some green goo but gotta start somewhere right?
 
hey OP if you dont know whats up, then dont. if you are smart enough to do the job right then go for it. but if you are half a dumbass, and be honest with yourself, dont do the surgery. go see a doctor, they have dedicated their lives for this shit. you are just a kid with a knife.
 
Its just not a fantastic idea. Also, as probably has been mentioned, (haven't read every page) you have no surgical training etc etc. Basically if the shit hits the fan, you sir, are well and truly fucked. Just see a surgeon, it'll be better in the long run. (also the surgeon will get it right, so you not likely to have to go back for further surgery, its not gonna get infected at a hospital)
