segments and struggling

ive made vid segments before but this year it hasnt been coming along well at all. everything is such a bitch to set up and film. we did some urban stuff 2 days this week for hours and only got 1 shot out of it. i think i would rather just ski.

filming takes work bitch. if you get one good shot from a solid days worth of filming you're doing well.

there is nothing worse than when some one follow cams you for 5 runs and misses all the shots.i sometimes set up a tripod push record and hike with a couple of people. it works well because even though the angle isnt exciting, you can make good edits.

watching a video gives you no idea what goes into it. Berman spends an entire season filming like a maniac and setting up shoot after shoot, many of which turn out zero film worthy shots. He works 12-14 hour days for 5 months with some of the top riders on the planet in great condidtions with perfect jumps and all he gets from it is 45 minutes of movie footage. That is why it can be frustrating when you are filming for fun. Filming does not mean skiing.

ive seen videographers do their job, ive done their job. they definitely dont work hard enough. and half of them miss the shot of the day anyway. if they filmed all day everyday they would have sick ass videos, the only things is it would get repetitive.

no i feel exactly your point. It seems this year I have had a lack of good footage, and its not cause i havent been skiing well, but because filming iss sooooo much work. Follow cam shots have turned out NO movie quality footy and setting up a tripod or someone filming is always a bitch to do. I need a full time film bitch.
