yep shes gone! xmas break-bad ski boot issue landed me new boots and a two bruised toe nails (now ones gone), Anybody else lose a toe nail yet? First time i've actually lost one (my right big toe) and its a little...well barren. I feel like a little part of me is sitting on my desk staring me in the face.

Anyone else lose a toe nail yet? and how long should i expect to look like a hobo with a ski problem?

At least i got new boots-and their almost better than sex...ALMOST
 
yep, i loose my toenails pretty often, always the big ones always once the ski season is over. its not soo bad
 
i have a frinds with ingrown toe nails, he had to get the cuticles cut off his toes and he'll never have toenails again
 
i got hit with a baseball in my big toe like 1 years ago when u used to play..

it bent my toe nail back in half, hurt like hell
 
i keep them trimmed pretty well for skiing, but occasionally get one broken off in soccer
 
they cut off half the cuticle on my right big toe cause it kept growing directly into my skin, good times, i was completely numb and got to watch, they use this mini ice cream scoop to get way up inside your foot and get the whole shit out, MAN if it wasnt numb it woulda been SOOOO painful
 
I dropped a table on my foot then a week later my grandma dropped a glass pickel jar. Hurt like a bitch and yea I lost my nail
 
Yeah I lost one this year cause my comp 120s I got were size 10 and I measure 12. I already stretched the liner, grinded the toebox, and put heel lifts and tongues in, but that wasn't enough. I woke up the next day after skiing and my toe was gushing out puss. But I stretched the toebox now so it should be good.
 
oh man, I was enjoying myself with a delicious snack,but then I started reading this thread and I completely lost my appetite. eww, toe nails gross
 
if i have to get ice-cream scooped i'd rather lose a toe! maybe not, but i hate the hospital-i try and stay away as much as a i can. PLEASE GOD NO ICE CREAM SCOOPER.. does everyone have to get that if they lose a nail?
 
my big right toe nail packed up and left around late november, right after the season started. happened last year and it was fully healed by april or may
 
yeh happened to both of my big tonails..had to cut a hole in one of em myself cut it hurt so bad skiing with the blood built up under the nail.. it took them 5 or 6 months to fully heal
 
both my nails, then they grew back shitty and i had an ingrown toe nail shitty deal but oh well
 
i lost the nail on my pinky toe once... it was weird, it just kinda popped off and there was a new nail underneath
 
oh and i lost my big toe nail once to a can of grape soda... i was getting it outta the cupboard and it fell on it..
 
One of the worse pain was when I dropped my suitcase on my big toe, turned all black, and the pressure was horrible, but I rufused to left in come off. It took like a year for it to grow back to normal.
 
2 or 3 years ago i had sum realllll sucky boots and wen i would come down from a jump my feet would get slammed to the front of my boot....few months later both big toes had no nail...pretttty nasty but now i have an execuse for my parents to get me good boots!!
 
your whole middle finger...holy shit, my dad lost his left ring finger when he was 16, a big rock fell on it, he said it was dangling, then they cut it off, then they tried to perserve it but it got all green...so he decided not to keep it, and he didnt want a fake finger or any of that shit... so its just a nub...its actually pretty sweet...
 
i lose both toenails at the start of each year cause i always forget to cut em. Best thing to do right when it happens is to heat up a pin and stab it right through the middle of ur toe then all the blood and puss spurts out and u can ski again. im bein seirous too
 
Dude, you can drill a little hole with a pocket knife in the nail to release the pressure.
 
^or heat up a paper clip/safety pin and poke a hole or two through the toenail.

i just lost my right big toenail, and my left one is about half black & blue, but not falling off so far. lost that one last season as well.
 
I broke boyh of my thumbs this season, but on my left one the nail is 1/4 brown/red ...I hope it stays on.
 
Both big toes got bruised. Ouch.

They're still on, but the part that detached is this deathly white colour.
