Security guard gets clocked

I feel bad for the security guard. Who knows what the bmxer did but he didn't have to act like that. Pre-conceived anger is dangerous. Most likely, he's not allowed to be biking there. And then he takes a cheap shot. Now, a felony for the rest of his future adult life.
 
That was a video were literally everyone was in the wrong...

BMX should have just left and moved on, actions like this is why skaters and bmxers get a bad reputation. He knows he's not supposed to be there, it's easy enough to just leave..if he REALLY needed to get a trick done there just come back later. Security should have never put his hands on anyone, let alone knee a kid in the ribs. Sure the cold clock could have caused injuries, but the knee to the ribs could have too. From what I can tell the only innocent person in that video was the filmer.
 
so in this case the video will be evidence putting the civilians in jail instead of harming the cops.

both sides acted poorly, but it looks like the rent a cops were the ones who instigated the incident with verbally harrassing the purple shirt kid. The fact that they tried to break his arm to me at least seems like charges would get dropped because the guards were being so heavy handed in a situation that would have ended faster if they'd left the kids alone.

And no, there weren't trying to break his arm. It's a restraint tactic. But, fuck the police, right brah?

They weren't restraining him properly, the way they held onto his arm was putting pressure in all the wrong spots. BTW mall cops don't have that kind of authority.

I think it depends on the setting. My little brother got into a lot of trouble for going up to his school security guard, grabbing his arm and saying " do you even lift".

Meanwhile my friend got into a fight with a rent-a-cop at a fair and he was only cited for disturbing the peace.
 
The BMX kids actually posted a description of what happened that actually makes it sound like they weren't really in the wrong.

I really think if you want to make a statement, email/Facebook/Twitter his sponsors and tell them you would never support their company and will give bad publicity to anyone you can. The kid now thinks it's pretty funny. But maybe if everyone started dropping him, it would send a message.

"The story behind this video is basically myself and 4 of my friends went into a mall to get food with our bikes and 2 security guards came up and told us we weren't allowed to have our bikes in the Mall. ( It was a holiday and there wasn't hardly anyone in the mall ) So we said okay we will leave after we get our food that we had ordered ( Mr. Sub ). Then they started shoving me and my other friend telling us to leave when most of us hadn't even got the food we ordered yet. So we left and ate outside near the mall. After we finally got the info we were all walking out and the shorter security guard was talking shit the whole time and kept lip saying stuff so my friends couldn't hear him. As we were approaching the mall exit there was one guard behind me and one beside, the shorter officer that was beside shoved me for no reason at all. Then the video starts. As we got out the door he knew my friend was filming, the last lip thing he said to me was " I'm going to kill you ". Thats when i lost it. The one guy turned to the other and said " Put him down " like i was some sort of fucking dog or something. When they got me on the ground i felt them legitimately trying to break my arm, they weren't just putting my hand behind my back. luckily my friend who was around the corner got there in time to help me out. One officer proceeded to go after my friend and got him on the ground. The other officer then turned to him as well and started to knee him in the ribs while yelling "get on the ground" when he was already on the ground not resisting at all. Which is why i hit him."

Sounds like a moment of mass retardation from all parties. If a mall cop is threatening to "kill you" and "put you down" then you should probably just leave and phone the real cops.

yeah, really no need to escalate the situation. just leave the property and cut your losses, the dudes are assholes and if they threatened you, call the cops or something. this is just a case of some scrawny kids trying to flex because they've seen too many skate spot kick-out fights and wanted some hits on youtube.
 
local police is now using the video to find the kids and charge them, in case anyone is wondering.

Being a biker I've been following this story on The Come Up which is sort of like ns but for bmx. I am not taking the side of the bikers but earlier today this video was posted of the events that led to the fight.


The security guard was obviously grabbing the biker which probably would have made anybody mad. I just think its a bit ridiculous how this whole thing played out in the end and both the bikers and security guards could of handled it much better.

Yesterday, there was a video up showing Tyler (purple shirt) from about 2 years ago getting into a fight with another security guard in Toronto. Mysteriously, the video just went to private. This kid is a piece of shit.
 
The moment they thought it was okay to bring their bikes into a mall was the moment they should have known they were going to have a bad time.

so we were breaking the rules and the security guards told us to stop but we wanted to not do that for a bit and then they got angry for some reason.
