Anyone hear of this? My friends just told me about this is and it's basically like the SIMS but online and you get to live out a second life. The thing is that like WOW, it's taking over people's lives. How fucked is that?
 
yea i have a fat lesbian aunt who spends all her time on her computer in her second life. its pretty fucked up. they get so into its crazy.
 
Yeah and what makes it fucked is that the stores in the game can be legit online stores. Like your person goes in, and whatever is in the store, you can buy in real life and have it shipped to you.
 
its also based on Christianity cause i saw it on the news last night, like you go to virtual churches and crap but yah its like sims mixed in with like WoW
 
that sounds really wierd. why would somebody waste their time trying to live out an online life. i guess its for people who have no real life in the first place
 
probably a lot of ppl arent really happy with the life they have and dont have to energy/will/power to change their own. Which is weak!
 
Yes it is, it's HUGE in Asia, just recently in the past few years did it get bigger in the states, and now it's growing like wild fire.
 
yeah probably, except they will arrest the predators in the game itself and dateline will be all over "why your kids are not safe on the computer anymore" and it will have an inteview with a kid whos voice has been changed and his face blurred out talking about how he was molested in his second life.
 
I have not played, and won't, but I DO know of a few people who have become MILLINOAIRES from the game.... so ya, I guess that's worth it.
 
its weird how you can make shit like a house and sell it for a lot of money actual real money. people are pathetic
 
i saw this on the news latley too, but its weird, cause i guess it has like 7 million members, but im only hearing about it now...
