i was almost positive the armada ar6 was my ski by im not sure anymore.

ok so-- im a little over 5' 10" and 145 lbs. im gonna be doing 70% park, 25% all mountain, and 5% other. i want it to be super light and super durable. I plan to be using this ski with look px12 lib bindings, or next years replacement for it.

thanks

ok. this is only like my 3rd pair of skis ever so i dont really have any base for comparison. but yeah, ill probably get the ar6 but im just making sure im making a good decision

you are sooo nice!!! sublime skier! woohoo!

how would the all mountain, and durability of the k2 public enemys compare to the ar6?

your pretty light so id look at some other skis if you wana butter around, maybe silencer or t hall. im 6'0 155 and i ride my t halls all over the place and they do pretty good, and they are soo fun to ride on

arent t-halls the same as ar6 but more flexy? t-halls--good butters. ar6s--good all mountain. i cant butter and i like all mountain so the ar6 would be better i think. wait, are the t-halls lighter?

yeah all mountain= mostly carving, some goofing off, a few bumps.

and why do flexy skis work better in the park?

to be honest... unless your really looking to charge all mtn if i were you id go with the t halls. i say that because ive ridden both and no doubt the ar6's are so dope all mtn but when it comes down to it you will love the soft t hall in the park apposed to the stiffer ar6.. both are good tho

if you like all mountain too though soft skis will be annoying and I like stiffer skis in the park too actually for pretty much everything but butters. and I dont mean real stiff, but just not noodles, I dig my ar6s.

A soft ski wont be as good for all mountain shit, but that depends what your definition of "all mountain" is.

what year AR5s did you have? cause last years were stiffer than the AR6s, the first two years were fairly soft though.

how much lighter and why? because if its just a little i twont really make a difference, espescially if the extra weight is underfoot and wont effect the spin weight.

man you are freaking out over too many things. Forget about the weight, i gurantee once you strap your heavy ass boots and bindings onto your feet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference...either ski you're going to be fine with just pick one, ar6 if you like more all mountain or thall if you like more park. You're not going to be any better at any type of skiing with either ski just make a decision theres no point in weighing out all these minor factors.

ok. just one last thing.

so my understanding is that the t-hall is flexier, and a little lighter than the ar6s. am i correct? yes or no?

you seriously need to just go to your local shop that carries armada skis and check it out for yourself and talk to some ppls about what your looking for

nowhere within 300 miles of me includes my hill. so yes they are not carried at my hill. my hill doesnt even have a shop.

IMO - flexy isnt better. lots of people like flexy skis for doing butters and such, but i dont. alot of it depends on how you ski, how hard you ski, and your weight, but even then i like stiff skis more. i have ridden 04/05 fujatives and 05/06 ar5s, and i dont like either of them. the fujatives are really fucked up, so i cant really judge them. the ar5's are fun up to a certain point, and when i start going too fast, they dont hold up. they chatter and lose control. i guess they are fun for doing butters, but when i butter usually i lean overly backseat or frontseat, and backseat = purple toenails. with soft skis my speed is limited and my bigger landings are fucked. i like stiff skis more because i am more comfortable at high speeds, more confident on landing big jumps, more confident in "all mountain skiing", and a lot better when it comes to popping and rail sliding.
