Seattle University?

Thinking about attending there. Already in the middle of applying there too.

I love Seattle. Great music, beautiful architecture, great skiing within a reasonable proximity. I'm from Portland so it really has that "home away from home" feel. I love the concept of going to a school in a city too. Seattle University seems right for me location wise because of those reasons.

What do the local Washingtonians think about it? I've done research on the demographics and all, but whats it like going to school there? Just wanna get an idea for what it's like being a student there. I'd be going into Mechanical engineering there too if that matters. Whether you're a student there or not, I value your opinion.

Thanks guys

Fuck you buddy. SU sucks, Seattle sucks, Portland sucks and you suck most of all. Quit making sucky threads on my forums assfuck~

Kid if you move to seattle I promise you that I will put you in stocks and leave you in capitol hill for every queer within 5 miles to rape you at will~

A. So the covers don't fall through at an angle

B. So there's no sharp point when cars are driving over them.

C. Am I interviewing for Google?

Duh, if you live in Seattle you have to either work for Microsoft, Boeing, Google, or Starbucks. All other businesses are just subsidiaries of these 4~

Seattles the shit and youll love it, and seattle university is not to shabby, go and youll love it, dont let the Bellevue pukes above get to you

Don't mind Scott. He's just unhappy because he's emaciated from too much school and Mountain Dew.

I'm sure Literature already told you to PM powderhound100 and vandersteeze. I myself am a product of Seattle University and really enjoyed the school. On the skiing side there are a couple good resorts nearby; Snoqualmie is about 45 minutes away and last I heard most of the crew from SU were considering getting passes there. Stevens Pass is another great resort that's about 90 minutes away. Literature also works there and he's quite the legit young man/poet/scholar.

The school itself is in the middle of a great deal of transition. The school has focused considerable money on pomp and athletics which is great if you are into sports. The new library is quite legit though. Which program are you going into? Or have you decided yet? If you are a Premajor I highly recommend talking to your academic adviser. Mine did me a world of good.

One thing to know about SU is that they are Jesuit and have a core curriculum which includes two philosophy classes and two theology classes in addition to one year of language and a few others (math, english, science). I enjoyed the core curriculum a great deal, but I was an English major and enjoyed writing papers. You can make the classes as hard or as easy as you want by picking certain professors. I think the Arts/Humanities programs at SU are great. Ask powderhound100 about business or vandersteeze about Engineering.

The school's Jesuit identity is omnipresent but not overbearing. You can find religion or ignore it as you like.

Feel free to PM me as well about the school.

Stay in PDX, go to Reed. Seattle has more drugs sex and guns then you can handle. We also periodically round up Portlandian's for 17th century Salem style cleansing in order to keep the hipster population under control. We should be issuing a bunch more tags for the Fremont and Capital Hill areas in the next few weeks. The season is year round.

You're obviously just a huge pussy and washington is way more than you can handle. Quit while you're ahead and go back to taking latte enemas ya fuckin kook~

I go to Seattle prep, which is the sister school/high school for SU. I had a chance to go there for my senior year of hs, but didn't. It looks like a really cool school though. Not too far from the center of Seattle, close to Capitol hill and broadway, and Seattle is a cool place to live. It is a Jesuit school, which is actually fine, not overbearing on the religious aspects. It's a somewhat smaller school, but if it has something you like or are interested in, I would definitely recommend checking it out

I go there, its pretty sick. Don't feel like typing up a ton of stuff so just pm me or hit me up on facebook. search jonas h. or my email powderhound100@gmail.com

yo fucker if he has specific questions I am happy to answer them, dont want to type random stuff he doesnt care about. Let a hungry Carpathian long-haired she-wolf blow your dick, asshole. haha, see you when you get back to seattle

WOAH! I mean I was a little hard on him but at least I didnt try to get him killed. What the fuck is wrong with you man?~

homeless people don't kill you they just pass out in your yard. the campus is nice, outdoor program is good, and tacoma has a good vibe. Plus there's shakabrah and metronome is a solid coffee shop (with a fucking pancake machine that just cranks out perfect pancakes all day)

homelessness is not the only social problem facing Tacoma. There is a shit ton of homeless people in Portland, but you are less likely to get murdered there then in Tacoma.

There are also good coffee shops in both Portland and Seattle.
