Season pass suspended/revoked stories.

It was opening week at Park City resort a few years ago. I was coming down an icy black run with a sharp right turn into a green run. My skis have zero edges, and I was going too fast so I ran into a group of like 5 people ski instructors/old gapers. Took them all out in front of ski patrol. They said they took it for good so I went to the season pass office, started to cry, and they gave it back.

Funny how that works. Girl falls at bar, gets laughs. Guy falls down at bar, gets arrested. Girl cries at officer for speeding ticket, gets off. Guy cries, gets book thrown. Damn women

It's interesting that in the liberty loving USA, people will have their property taken away from them for getting in an accident. Go figure.

that might have been part of it, I was like 15 at the time. They also shouldn't have put the park at the bottom of a green run... which is why they changed it to another side of the mountain a year later. Also a huge group of people shouldn't really be standing in a circle in the middle of the run.

So I was riding up the chair lift with a ski patrol, young guy, never have seen him before at MSSI. We were chatting about shit and he told me he had some girl problems. I suggested he pee in her butt. He did that night. Came back, told me it was the worst advice EVER, took my pass and beat the shit out of me. To this day it was worth it.

Me and my 2 friends went down the hardest hill on my mountain the first day, snowmaking crew were on it making snow. They were super chill about it and were telling us where the best snow was on the trail, they were super chill. They half way down we looked down at the bottom of the hill and ski patrol was there. Like fuck, so we skied down the rest and they really didn't care, they just asked what happened and if we were alright. But then they said their manager wanted to see us, went up the lift and the guy took our passes and had our parents get our passes a week later.

Honestly I've never even come close to getting my pass pulled.... Except last week at vail. Some fag threatened to pull it because I was going to fast. I live in New Hampshire though, and have never received this type of warning.

i have no story but my friend tried a frontflip of the knuckle of a jump today. ski patrol took his pass for a week

I went past a small closed sign at Stratton to ski some pow under the lifts because I was sick of ice and old gapers. The snow was so deep for southern Vermont (like a foot) and I was having a blast until about halfway down the trail when it occurred to me that I was screwed. A ski patroller was blocking my only exit and there was no way through the woods. Realizing there was nothing else I could do, I gritted my teeth, squeezed my poles and skied by him- hoping he wouldn't say anything. Sure enough, a big, fat smirk appeared on his face as he motioned me over. I thought about running but the trail was just about over and there was no slope for me to get speed on. He asked me my name and I gave him some fake ass name, I think it was Morris or something. And then he said he was going to take my ticket (not a season pass because I hate stratton). Meanwhile, there was a snowboarder who had done the same thing and was trying to sneak away behind me. The ski patroller wasn't going to let that happen. As soon as he realized the snowboarder wasn't stopping, he charged him yelling some bullshit and trying to talk into his radio at the same time. Then the ski patroller puts his foot out, trips the snowboarder, and tackles him to the ground yelling "sit the fuck down asshole". He took both of our tickets and lectured us about closed trails and such.

Anyway, I sprinted back to the lodge after he was gone and showed the person my ticket stub, which they took and gave me a new pass. Dumbass ski patroller had nothing else to do but harass skiers trying to have a fun time.

The closest ive got to getting it taken away was in November at Keystone at like 3:30 in the afternoon and I was going super fast on an empty green and I stopped to wait for a friend and a ski patroller came up and started small-talk. Then he said I was going wayyy to fast and I need to take it from 8/10 to 6/10. He was pretty cool though. Also at A Basin on my last day I cut a rope and a patroller threatened to suspend my pass for 3 days.

almost got my passed pulled at breck for "spraying the slow signs' did know that was a pass pullable offence..

2nd run of the day at crystal mountian i was cruzin and ducked a rope. ski patroll steped out infront of the exit and i went to fly past him undr the rope and my shovel in my backpack snagged the rope and took me out. he took my pass then i had to sit in the lodge all day till 4 when the bus came to take me down. it was shitty

sprayed the shit out of a chad standing behind a blind rollover by accident, got pass pulled. Got to love ski patrol in jeans eh?

Mt. Abrams Maine

wow thats gay as fuck! east coast resorts can be pretty fuckin wak. mammoth represents cali pretty well. fuckin anything goes. ski like an asian drives if you want...

Pretty hard to do anything wrong when they don't close anything Haha

I've ducked a few mellow ropes in my life (I would never duck a closed section on a pow day) just ropes that had access points close by that were open just have to take a different run or hike to get to said gate. I've been yelled at many a time going fast but never been seriously threatened.

Yezzur, nothing quite like ski patrol who dont really know the skiers code! when ski patrol wears jeans at your hill, ya know you are in trouble

My hill up at school ropes off all the woods. My freshman year first day out I entered up above where they had it roped off to ski a little bit of pow. Hill manager was waiting for me and said he was going to take my season pass. I lied and said I was from Colorado and we can ski in the trees there. Then got a lecture on how their insurance doesn't allow it, but he will let me go since I didn't know. Sucker

Also at this same hill you get your pass pulled for any inverted tricks

My friend was stopped for going to fast and they ask for his pass and he felt in his pocket and there was a hole which his pass had fallen into between the lining of his pants and the outside. The guy pulls out a knife and says cut ur pants open but my friend didn't want to ruin his pants so he starts to shimmy his pass up it takes forever and the guy just lets him go.

Closest ive ever been was i popped off of a roller right next to a slow sign leading into the park and there was a ski patroler standing at the top of the park, he was just like "what if there was someone standing there? And right next to a slow sign?" (I know that i was actually in the wrong here. He was getting all up in my face and all I had to do was say "I appologize, it wont happen again" and he just stopped chewing me out and said okay don't let it happen again.

try being nice next time you get caught, it helps

I popped over a fence at a little hill in ontario and some ski patrol was ready to pull my pass but he seemed to let it go when I told him that my skis never actually touched the fence

how the fuck do you irresponsible douchebags get your passes pulled. I would probably flee the scene with the pass if they attempted to take it. Theyre $850 in Oslo. Think about that.

Well I have never had mine pulled, but if they were trying to there is no way i'd be able to flee. My hill has maybe 210ft vertical, 2 chairs, 7 runs, and no woods to hide in. Not to mention everybody knows everybody there.

I was at Keystone coming out of the incubator (Teaching my sister 3s on tiny jumps) and we'd go down schoolmarm back to peru and repeat. They second you get out off the last jump there is a slow sign, and I sprayed it with snow as I stopped to wait for my sister. I go pulled over by this bitchass yellow coat and he said that it was "Vandalism" I just gritted my teeth and apologized even though I thought it was fucking stupid, and he let me go. Shit was scary.

Never had a pass or ticket pulled, but at Cannon once some racers blew by me so i tucked and blew past them into the base area. A safety service guy came up and said I was going to fast and asked what kind of past I had, but I told him it was my last run of the day so he let me go. Funny, because I've cut my share of ropes and never been caught

I've had two close calls at my home mountian (attitash nh) once for jumping of the lift its like a 6 foot drop to powder and I didn't realize ski patrol was right in front of me and he ended up finding me later that day but I convinced him I lost my day pass an put my season pass in my pocket and then in like January this year some douche freaked and threatend to take my pass for trying to Ollie over a slow sign and breaking it

In ’03 or ’04 (I can’t remember which) on my day off I was riding up the Whistler gondy. Luckily for me I got off at mid-station to grab a drink from my work (mid-station Beavertails). I got back on and rode up with a couple guys who were smoking a blunt. As was more often than not the case at the time I was drinking fireball so I hooked them up with some of that and they let me in on the blunt. There must have been some patrollers going the other way on the gondola that saw us passing the blunt, because when we got to the top there were a bunch of patrollers waiting for us. They said “enjoy today boys, it’s your last of the season” and took our passes. Obviously losing your pass under any circumstances sucks balls but I was extra screwed because I needed my pass to get to work. I appealed it (and my boss stepped up huge to back me up), saying I had never met the other guys before and it was just them that were blazing, not me. They probably didn’t believe me (with good reason) but because I had gotten off at mid-station and my pass had been scanned 10 or 15 minutes before theirs and had never previously been scanned at the same time (ie. we did not appear to know each other) I won the appeal and got my pass back. The best part of all was that the way I found out I was getting it back was a call from someone from Intrawest who had obviously been forced to apologize to me and was obviously really not happy about it, asking “if I was satisfied with the way it had been handled.” The best part about THAT was at the time of the call I was heading down the gondola from work (they had been giving me day passes while it got worked out) smoking a joint with my boss.

dude, nearly same thing happened to me at stratton. right under the gondola, there was a closed run with about a foot of pow, and i decided to yolo and about 6 of us ducked the rope and had a blast. when we could finally see our exit, we saw a couple patrol members blocking the exit, probably called in because we saw some other people ducking. so we skied down, me and my sister got called over and stopped but the other people in our group just sped past and didn't get caught, which we probably should have done. but they weren't too bad, they didn't pull our passes just told us not to do it. by the time we left, there were tons more people com in down, probably saw us from the gondola. good times
