I'll most likely be living in south shore very soon here and am trying to decide where I should get season passes to in tahoe. I posted this in regionals, but no one goes there.

I'd prefer not to have to drive all the way to north shore all the time.. but if the pros outweigh the cons, then it'd be fine.

I've decided on kirkwood for one. Not sure where else..

Northstar / Sierra @ Tahoe combo - $249

Alpine Meadows - $199

Sugar Bowl - $259

heavenly - $219 midweek $299 full

thanks you guys. I haven't ridden many of tahoe's resorts besides kirkwood. so any input is appreciated.

alpine is the best one of those resorts, but if you have extra $$$ u should deffinatley go to squaw, its worth the extra money

does that mean you don't want a fish sandwich

I'd be down for squaw, except a season pass there is like a downpayment on a house. Runs about 1.3 grand.

not if you get a job there. if you work park maitnence or as a liftie you get mad ski time too

does that mean you don't want a fish sandwich

Boycott Squaw. Their pass is so damn expensive. I'd go with either Heavely or Sierra. Neither has great terrain but you've already got that at Kirkwood. Alpine is cool but a further drive. Where are you living in Southlake. I'm moving down to Tahoe in Janruary and I was trying to decide between North and South but I couldn't find anywhere to live in South Lake because I'd really like to ski Kirkwood.

thanks telester. that's exactly what I was thinking. As far as where I'm moving in south lake? Honestly. There are a few places I've found, but I'm sure they will probably be snatched up real soon.

I'm just going to save up money now, finish some school by december and take it from there. If nothing else, I figure I'll be able to rent a room from someone.

go to seirra. honestly no one seems to know about it or get it any credit. I guess its like a secret, that parks, pipes, and backcountry areas (if u know where they are)..are so damn sick

yay skiing

is there a way to get squaw passes cheap? do they do what mammoth does how if you buy it 10 months early it is like70% off?
