Season edit

Here is mine season edit, hope you like it! And would be nice with some creative feedback!

What can I do to make the edit better? What can I do on the editing side and what can I do on the skiing side?

Here is the edit:

The fact that you seem to be sticking your arse out all the time suggests to me that you are not a very well rounded skier. You have a lot of tricks, but they look very sketchy. Go ski all over the mountain, not just the park, that will help your style heaps. As I said, you look sketchy, like you're about to crash all the time. Get better at skiing all around, and you'll be on the right track.

Did not like the song at all, but that's just me. The editing could have been better, but other than that it was pretty good!

The biggest thing that will help you with your edit is the filming. Using multiple and creative camera angles will help, as will ensuring to always keep your lens clean of snow, dust and fog.

From an editing point of view, adjusting your footage for better colours can really help improve the quality of your edit. Get a little creative, there are tonnes of edits out there, unless you're throwing triples or you're super stylish, you need to set yours apart from the rest of the pack for people to really take notice. This can also be achieve through camera angles, and, of course, better skiing.

Also, if you want people to take notice, presentation is important. If you don't think a top movie firm would present it that way, play with it until you do. Editing can be tedious and time consuming but also incredibly rewarding once you're truly satisfied with the outcome. Chances are, those who watch the edit will be more satisfied too.

i didnt mind the edit. just pop more when you go for switchups. you either switchup, or you surface swap. youre doing a weird in between thing that doesnt look to great on camera. keep working though. solid stuff

Pretty good the skiing was sick you have a nice bag of tricks. I agree that the filming and editing could be better though. Get creative with camera angles and stuff too not just straight follow cams or shots from the sides of features. I also wasn't a big fan of the song, but thats not a big deal. But really a solid edit I liked it.

Nice edit man got a pretty big bag of tricks!

I don't know too much about the editing side but for the skiing i'd say it looks like a lot of the tricks were fairly new, so could definitely improve on the style. Maybe keep on practicing laps until you get a lot more comfortable with your current bag of tricks and style will come with comfort and control. Also going along with one of the previous comments that there were a lot of boxes, so once you're solid with your tricks on boxes, move them to rails, get that style and you're in the money!

Jumps were tight lovin the switch and both way spinning.

Maybe try some more flip variations on your jumps.

Imo I didn't like the music but that's fairly personal so yeah I look forward to the next one, keep it up!

Song obviously, but you addressed that. Add some film burn or slow mo to make the editing interesting, I'm no editor but I enjoy seeing those types of things done properly.

As far as skiing goes you obviously have a nice bag of tricks which is a great place to start. Your style is very stiff and like others said sometimes looks like you're going to crash on tricks you're actually doing well. Skiing all the time is the only real remedy, but I'd also suggest taking laps on the park without doing any tricks, or at least less technical ones and just focusing on staying relaxed/balanced. Some straight airs, switch ones, and threes are good for varying grabs/tweaks as well as carving into your spins better which is crucial to a styly spin. Otherwise keep killing it, I love your positive attitude.

keep you hands down more on the rails and the editing could be better but other than that great skiing work on thats style and keep killing it!

overall the edit wasnt that bad. your style was a little wack but the tricks were pretty good. but the worst thing about the edit was the song. a song could make or break an edit

here are my season edits...the first one was before i got my good camera and before i used a good editing software and the second is in full HD except for the gopro shots and the editing is much better in my opinion

Had sick tricks, did pretty high level tricks,

I think the song was kinda bad, seemed like you were going very slow on boxed, and there were alot of boxes shot, and wack style

Overall, sick edit, keep improving

For the rails try to stand up straighter, instead of having your hands in front of you and your butt sticking out. That should make your rails look quite a bit better, also just keep practicing your rail tricks so they look smooth and stylish. You're pretty damn good at jumps though.

overall i liked it...definitely liked your airs. on the rails focus on your arms...try to keep them down more...you were flailing a bit. more inverts??

You had a lot of sick tricks, but imo too much of the edit was filmed on that one red box. Try and get those tricks on some different features, even if it's just a different flat box. No body wants to see the same box over and over again. Work on your style, get a better song, and you'll have some sweet edits.

You have a lot of sick tricks, but they could be better. Try widening your stance a bit and try not to be so pencil like.

The rails at the beginning couldve been faster and less sketchy but still a ton of variations which were dope. Probably could have filmed it from a few different angles, i got pretty bored. Spinning both ways was tight though and you could stomp a cork seven if you know the rotation as youve got the spins down. Also wouldnt hurt to invest in a higher quality camera.
