Searchbar probelm

I dont know if its a problem with NS or a problem with my computer/firefox, but whenever i type something in the searchbar as a misspelling or some....ok, this is hard to explain in normal terms, ill just give an example.

If i type "lonfboard" into the searchbar, it will come up with zero results, obviously. However, when i edit it, and make it "longboard", once i hit search it will load for a second, then the text in the bar will turn back to "lonfboard" and come up wiht no results again. I can try this 100 tmes in a row and it still does it; even if i make the new word "potato" or something completely unrelated it will go back to "lonfboard". the only way for it to work again is if i log out and back in. Its not just for misspellings, its for anything with zero results, so i dont know what it is, but it is really getting to me. Whats this about???

i have mozilla too. i think its something with it.. its not only this site it does its with.. it saves what you search and you can choose it again. i fixed it right away but forgot how i did it.. msg nomensteven he knows alot about mozilla and computer stuff

there is a shortcut to clear all the stuff in firefox, it's apple-shift-del on a mac if that helps

i assume its ctrl-shift-del on windows

Its not that is bringing up old searches as im typing them, it does that too, but i dont mind that. Its once i hit enter, or search, the word the i typed in the searchbar changes to something else and wont search the new thing tat i wanted to search, it goes back to the old one.
