i've found ONE single road I can lose traction on now.....the Montlake onramp onto 520 east. The nice LONG curve thats fairly new pavement. Its nice and tight so i only have to take it at like 40, but i'm screaming at that (the tires that is). but if i take a straight 90 degree turn anywhere else, at like 60 i don't lose traction. its like driving a large go-kart now! haha
oh yeah, two roads i guess. the long switchback on denny creek up snoqualmie...yeah. you can check back up the hill for other cars for safety. i can lose it on that too, but barely. course, in a few months i'll be puttin the steelies and snow tires back on.....then i'm back in ugly-slidey-ville.

well, as Jamie would say 'Any fool can go fast in a straight line'. I've gotten up to 120 in my car, but going fast like that isn't really a thrill, and its very dangerous. Going fastish (like 40-60) around REALLY twisty roads, THATS where the fun is my friend. Holy crap, want a good road to have fun on?....
The road around Crecent Lake on the penninsula. Lots of cars, but usually pretty good. SO twisty, but its narrow and theres lots of guard rails, but its a lot of fun.
But as far as long straight aways......um....I don't really know of any. Yeah, the roads accross the valley are pretty nice, cause they're WIDE open late at night. The parking lot at the .....um....big church....Overlake? yeah. The parking lot there is pretty fun, its very big and has lots of these big dips. Fun if you're car ain't too low. I-90 is NOT the place to go fast. I went 115 through North Bend once (ie the most HEAVILY policed area in the WORLD) and I didn't get pulled over. That was a few years ago when I had my head up my ass.

Uhh, so, i've been trying to burn out, and i can only do it so far off my dirt road where it meets the asphault. I even tried driving in reverse a bit and then stomping it forward, but no results. stupid new tires methinks.
My record is 70 on a 25mph country road near my house. Im tellin you guys, you want no cops and twisty roads galore, come over here, i'll show you all of them, plus a drag strip that was just paved. its like in the middle of this feild for a quarter mile, no driveways, freshly paved, 1 car wide, straight as an arrow, never used. So like, come over and rally your shit, but tell me first.
btw, my speed record is 90 on 1-5.

don't try to burn out rowen, for the love of god, don't try to burn out. You have an AWD car, you will NOT be able to burn out. Sure you can make them spin a little on dirt, but no matter what tires you have, you will never lose traction. You will end up frying your transmission.....going from reverse to drive...baaaad idea. You'll DESTROY your center diff.

hahahaha, yeah. its like WAY back in the day....about 3 years ago, i tried to peel out in my car, cause i was a fucking idiot then. I had it up to like 6000 rpm and just let the clutch out....car kinda sat there for a while with the engine still taching high.....in other words, its a good thing it was still under warrenty, cause I got a free new clutch. it was GONE.

allright, i drove a WRX last week, fucking sick, it wasnt riced out, jsut had rims and subs and thats it. so fast, and handles so well. and i did just fine with its stick.
Two weeks ago a kid in my school whos 17 got a WRX Sti, he had preveously gotten 3 speeding tickets with an intermedeat liscence, so he didnt have a liscence. he didnt insure the wrx sti, and has someehting like 60 mor payments on it to go. last thurseday on a cornere directly in front of teh school so everyone could see it, he crashed it into a tree and totald it. the front tire was in the passenger foot area. the car was fucked up. he just lost 32 gs and hes 17. hes so fucked.

car stuff. the other day I greased my rear sway bar with some waterproof aluminum grease (its blue!) thanks to kevin. back end pulls a bit more now, its nice. Today I finally got off my ass and finished some un-finished business on the caper. Took out the intake silencer, which wasn't even functional with my intake anymore. It was only blocking the fender, so my car was sucking in air from the engine bay only (ie REALLY hot air). So now cooler air is blowing in a bit. I also actually got my intake bolted down, it was just sorta sittin there scratching the paint. But I did a real good job with this bracket that holds it right in place. works/looks great! Next, I'm going to take an old computer shell, and make a heat shield for my intake, so it will only be getting air from the fender (I am also going to run a small tube from the vent on the front of the bumper there, up to the filter...Ram air!!!!! hahahaha). I'm going to paint the shield with some black heat-resistant crackle paint. Should look something like this:
