You have to be trolling this is too typical

I was about 10 labatts in when I posted that....

...but that being said, I'm still going to stick-up for Supreme. I wrote another long post in some skateboard thread explaining their backstory, but TLDR: they're STILL an EXTREMELY core skateshop that went from very humble roots to being thrust into the streetwear/fashion industry. They're now smartly exploiting their popularity in an incredibly volatile and fickle industry while they still have demand/hype.

The exact same thing is happening with other brands (Palace, Dime, Canal) yet nobody ever seems to complain about them.

Yes, I suppose I was trolling/drunk with the "fuck outta my face and you cant afford it" stuff but I get get annoyed when people here preach "core this, core that" and don't recognize it right in front of their own faces. Supreme has a stacked and unique skate team, still put out dope skateboarding content, still do tons for the skateboarding community largely as a result of their hypebeast/mainstream popularity.

Gotta get back to work, but it also seems like the majority of people who shit on Supreme dont understand the difference between retail vs. resell

I dont care how 'core' you are, and while I understand the Jurassic park mentality of 'We can charge whatever we want and people will pay it', I still think charging what they do should be considered a criminal offense.
