Sorry for the trouble... we have exceeded our data transfer limit for the month. We will get a smaller trailer up for next month so that we won't have this problem... if there is time we may be able to upload it elsewhere, I'll keep you posted.

what's a good camera to get smooth slow motion like that? esp. the opening scene that was great. all my slow motions are just a bunch of choppy frames and crap.

 
i dunno, this guy uses super expenive and top of the line cameras and he uses the editing prog for his G4 called final cut or somthing

I think he has a VX2000 or something, or... i dunno, it just looked like a sony. Look at the photos in their gallery, they have some shots with the side of the video camera in it, one of them you can see a lot of it.

Thanks for all of the interest in our site/trailer.

Unfortunately because of all of the people that want to view the trailer, and because of problems with our previous webmaster trying to use a ridiculous 35mb trailer, we have, for the second month in a row, exceeded our data transfer limit. So you can't view the trailer on the site anymore. Hopefully we can avoid this next month with the new design. As for equipment, we use Canon Gl1, Sony VX2000, and the new Panasonic AG-DVX100. Software is Final Cut Pro3 - for the person who was having difficulting with slow motion, its most likely your software, the camera does make a difference, but you should still get decent looking slow mo with any camera - what are you using?

As for shooting this summer.... as it stands now, we will most likely not be releasing a video for sale this year. We will most likely combine this year's footage with some from next year. Summer shoots are still tentative, but they do not look good right now as we are busy with other productions and the development of the freelance side of Spindrift. So there it is, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. Hopefully we can get a message board up on the new site next month. Thanks again for the support.
