I wana get some new skullcandy headphones but i have heard mixed reviews about all of them. I want some over the ear ones. I had the lowriders but didnt like the fit. I am open to any suggestions of other headphone companies. I am looking to spend $80 or under. Suggestions please.....
 
for skiing the iCons/Recruits r you best bet they hold up the best and r like $30 bucks

shit i spelled it wrong any way i like the skull crushers but i heard that they can break. has anyones skull crushers break?
 
the icons have pretty shitty sound i believe, but i still ride with them cause of the sweet design
 
ive had my skullcrushers for about 4 years now and the only time they have broken is when i got out of bed and stepped on them, but that was easily fixed with duck tape~ As a headphone alone, they have pretty shitty sound, but what skullcandy did to make the illusion of bass is add their vibrating speaker into them~ because of how tight the headphones are on your ears the vibrations act as shitty bass~ basically its not different then the vibration function on your videogame controllers except in different strenghts~
 
yea i find skullcrusher get mad annoyinfg with the vibration too.

id say go with icons dude, ive got them and love them.

anywho, i know skullcandy is a hugee part of the freeskiing industry, and i rrespect that, but i'd say there very overhyped. you'll get reviews from kids saying their 100% awesomeness and they would never try anything else, and then you'll get reviews from kids saying that their decent at best, and theres tons of other brands with better quality. such as jvc, sony, aiwa, and some others. if you have any friends who have some skullcandy stuff, try it out. same with some other brand stuff. see what you like more and go from there

 
skullcrushers are so sick! the bass booster is teh best invention ever. the skullcandy warranty is also the shit they are so chill, if you get skullcandys make sure to register them online so you can send them back if anything happens

rubber things fall off after time

they might not fit your ears

my left earphone has stopped working

their warranty service in canada SUCKS, i still havent even gotten a reply for my request

 
Yeah bud, I have the hesh's in black. I really like em' got them for under 50 bucks. The sound pretty good for the money, you have the cool-ness factor, plus like someone said, their warranty is top notch.
The first couple of times using them your ears get kinda sore, but they get used to them pretty quick.

You've never heard of WESC :| Shit, they are huuuge. They are pretty big here, but theyare actually like a Super Corporation from Sweden. They have the sickest clothes and shit, they're headphones are legit as hell too
 
I have a few pairs of headphones (Skullcandy, Bose, B&O, etc.), but V-Moda are one of my favorites and they are the best value. The only con for using them while skiing is that they might cancel out too much noise. I recommend the vibe/ vibe duo/ vibe ii.
 
i put the right side on my left ear and vice versa and wear them so the top is behind my head so they just chill on my ears and i can still wear my helmet, wouldn't recommend for super intense riding though
 
i have a bern and it worked out ok, i just had the head strap thing back around my neck and had my goggles on over the headphones and under the helmet
 
hit up your local zumiez and see if they have some Boosted Grandes

sick head phones and they should be on sale for a pretty good price

skull candy is balls! iv had a pair ( over the ears, not sure which ones) they broke in less than a month from just wearing them. the sound is extremely mediocre at best... skull candy is only good for looking good and they do extremely well with that

I was eyeballin the WeSCs over summer but never ended up gettin them. i want to this winter at some point.
 
Personally nothing is worth the money past the icons which are 20$ their ear buds die quickly, and pretty much they Ti's Gi's and everything else are standard headphones with sweet graphics
