SCUBA divers?

im certified with PADI ive done like 8 dives in hawaii and the cathedrals caves were definitely the sickest
 
I did SNUBA, which is a little cooler in my opinion becuase you don't have all that crap on your back.

Needless to say, it was one of the most amazing things I've experienced in my life.
 
PADI certified, did it in thailand, and i've only dived there, but it's an incredible place to do it. so far i've got 11 dives, but i'm hoping to do some more this summer.
 
Lucky people. I got certified in a quarry. The only other place I've gone is The Living Seas in Disney World (big aquarium in disney for those that don't know) haha it sounds dumb but it was actually pretty sick. NAUI cert by the way.
 
i'm surprised to see so many naui certs. i work in a padi shop. yes, we have dive shops in colorado. cozumel is my local diving. going back in january. i've been to australia and key largo as well. bikini looks sweet. truk lagoon is a bit better though in terms of overgrowth on the wrecks, and there's a lot of japanese planes and tanks down there. the dives are a lot deeper.

also, i'm selling off some old gear (well, my old gear but not old in terms of age) if anyone's interested...
 
im certified with SSI, done around 30 dives in Mexico, Ecuador, Washington, Hawaii, and Australia. Australia was by far the best trip, we were on a live aboard on the outer reef for 5 days with 3 or 4 dives a day. got certified through a local shop here in Portland and did my checkout dives up in Washington on the Puget Sound. it wasn't too bad except my drysuit had a small leak and quickly became a wetsuit
 
Padi cert. I did my open water dives in january, The water was 41 degrees and visibility of a foot. That shit sucked so i went to Hawaii,
 
yup PADI Open water, i live in a landlocked province though which sucks, coolest dive...probably playing with seals on the west coast, the love to chase the bubbles out of your regulator and just hover in front of your eyes waiting for you to exhale, its cool. Havnt dove in a couple years though, but i am at around 25-30 proper dives, (dont really count lake dives etc)
 
I have my advanced underwater diver certification with PADI with more than 40 dives. Its great, only if Quebec gives me more life underwater

 
i finished all my instruction and pool tests and shit but i still havent taken my open water eval...i really need to do that this summer
 
im going to cuba in 27 days and i really want to dive there do i need a license and if so can it be Padi since padi is american i heard u cannot finish the course (do the in water part of it) in cuba because there is no Padi there because of the US embargo thing i heard you don't need a license to dive in Cuba just u will have to pay more $$ for the dive master to be constantly beside you if i am wrong what whoudl i do to get a license? or what kind should i get...

i would suggest at least doing the class and pool before you go if you're planning on diving. that way, you at least have some idea of what you're doing, whether or not you actually like diving and if it's for you, and you learn some of the theory behind diving. padi is a global organization, but you're right they don't have any centers in cuba. i hear cuba has some awesome diving.
 
Im NAUI cert. dove a lot in the florida keys. was supose to go to the caymans but when we got there the weather was to bad and we couldnt go out which suckd very badly.
 
ye thats what i'm probably gonna do, my bro went to mexico last year and did 4-5 dives without a license only to like 20-30feet and he brought back videos and i want to do it sooo bad looks like so much fun and two chicks i am going with have their certs so thats kinda another reason wanna get mine so i don't get left behind if u noe what i mean...
 
holy shit 91.6m i dunno how he managed to get that deep without realizing but by that point it looked like he was completely out of it...
 
it's not the blue hole in belize. it's the blue hole in egypt.

that video is interesting. if he was an instructor, then he shouldn't have been overweighted unless he was teaching a student. sometimes students make a break for the surface and you have to slow them down. clearly though he wasn't teaching, as he was only with his buddy/student for a few minutes of the dive. we can only speculate, like the people in the movie, what he was doing down at that depth on air, alone, and totally narced out of his mind. this is a great sport, but you have to be able to account for yourself because the consequences can be huge.
 
PADI advanced open water certified! did it in thailand, did a bunch of dives there while i lived there. other than that, st. john in the virgin islands was pretty sick.
 
PADI, NAUI, SSI and IANTD certified.

sickest dive? Can't decide. Every place I've been had his own special things to witness. Haven been diving in Egypte, Belgium (home), Holland (because it's close to home), France (since I'm there for skiing), Greece, Mexico, Maldives and Mauritius.

Ive got my PADI Advanced open water as well as NITROX cert. i love drift dives in fast current, it feels like you're flying. Tropical diving is spectacular but i got to do some really cool cold water drift dives near vancouver island that I really enjoyed.
