So anyone got any good ideas for getting stripped screws out of bindings? I need to get new bindings for my skis and the ones on there have stripped screws...

its called an ez-out, but yeah, that's what u need.

Or, if the metal is soft and the head is not stripped too too bad, you can take a flat head screwdriver and lightly hammer it into the stripped portion of the screw. This will cause the metal on the stripped part of the screw to bend and form around the screwdriver. Then turn the screwdriver out, and voila.

Some times the metal is so soft that the screw out thinga-ma-bobs just drill it out more. you can try it, but if that happens, grap a rotozip or other hispeed cutting tool thing w/ a real small grinding wheel and cut a slot into the head. Then use a flat head screwdriver to take it out. Make sure u don't go too far and cut off the head though or ur really gonna be screwed(till u realize u can lift the binding over the screw and go to work with the vice-grips)

^ i was going to say the same thing, but those binding screw heads can be pretty recessed. It may work though

yeah thing is I dont even want the damn bindings that are on there, I could care less about em. Im thinking of nearly sawing them off if need be

what bindings are they?

and if all else fails you can just take a drill to the screwhead and drill it out.

speaking of screws, does anyone know where to get the short look/rossi screws?

Two things. I have some pretty short screws if you want them. How many you need? They should be the right length. if the screw was stripped out in the first place. Use a soldering iron to get them all heated up first and then unscrew using either of the techniques listed above. This melts the glue or epoxy holding the screw in the hole.
