Fuck meadows i absolutely hate them. i am never buying a seasons pass there again. the park isnt that good or inovative at all. there hasnt been a single competition yet, but all i heard preseason was way more comps. fuck this. timby has had comps already, and sick ones at that. and they have a nicer park. FUCK MEADOWS. IM PISSED!

p.s. Meadows needs to get some fucking skiers in their park crew. all the fucking features are snowboard oriented. sure they are still hit-able, and i still do hit them all, but everything is just obviously snowboard oriented. O AND FUCK THE STUPID PATHETIC HIGH SCHOOL SNOWBOARD COMPETITIONS. THEY ARE THE MOST PATHETIC WASTE OF CLOSING A PARK TO ALL THE GOOD RIDERS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN
 
woord meadows has been super lazy this year with their parks, i dont even know if the pipe's set up yet, and hrm took forever to get going, the problem is i dont think meadows has any good enough park skiers that work for them who would be good on the park crew, remember when we saw that one meadows worker skiier ripping through easy rider flailing like crazy on the tables, thats prolly who'd be on their park crew which wouldn't be too great
mostly im hopping shooting star gets set up again soon this season, and hrm get built up all sick, but still they needa stop being so lazy, just look on the website it says parks for the 06-07 season and has pictures that are 1-2 years old

btw sry about my gay snowboard team, if easy rider continues to get shut down for them we should just haul ass through the park in the middle of one of their comps
 
You should email meadows and complain, instead of (or perhaps in addition to) talking about it here.

This happens every year though...Meadows says they're going to be better, get good parks up early in the season, etc, but they never have a good park in the winter. Spring park is usually nice though.
 
well at least they have the pipe open for the comp this weekend

their jumps on HRM are flat with no pop and the speed is i-straightline-yet-still-case-the-big-side It would be a fun park but the speed is wack some people like to chill in between jumps instead of mobb faster than all hell and still have to pop crazily to make it over the knuckle
 
clearly you hadn't seen our pipe 2 weeks ago, its was a nice "V" shape...V for Vaginas(on meadows crew)
 
heres what we wrote to dave explaining why shooting star should be built

"so i read about how you don't already have any plans to build up the tables on shooting star this year, such a decision seems like a mistake, the parks you currently have, provide various tables with features that are built to serve at the maximum intermediate park riders, while it is very important to meet the needs of skiers + snowboarders who are beginning or intermediate at park, without shooting star being set up there will be no advanced tables until the spring time, this weekend me and some friends who spend most of our season at meadows went to mt. bachelor for the 3 day weekend, we were appalled to see the difference in size between the parks at meadows and those of bachelor, while only an hour and a half drive from mt. hood, bachelor has two advanced parks with a minimum of 40 to 80ft tabletops, an intermediate park, and one beginner park... currently, before the spring, all of meadows parks serve features that are for beginner to intermediate riders, all that we ask for is shooting star to be set up, one advanced park before the spring"
 
well yes. but i thoroughly enjoy skiing on days when it isnt powder, and when theres a lack of powder/hasnt snowed in a while, meadows isnt that fun...thus the need for a better park
 
even when meadows does have an advanced park set up its all just table tops...I rarely ever see any hips or step up/downs
 
hrm park sucks ass and the park before the half pipe is hard to get speed for too.. i mean if you hit that rail or box and come off it weird then your fucked as far as hitting the jumps go.. i heard something about a park up on vista.. whats the deal there???
 
vista would be sick, but chances of that are very slim because of all the weather and all the snow. they probably wont open a vista park at all this year. the weather is just too rough up there and with all the snow this season, so i guess we are fucked until spring and cascade superpark
 
thats true, i'm just trying to be optimistic. (granted there's not much to be optimistic about meadows right now.)
 
uhhmm wtf??  you ski timbo in spring.. dude.. i went u[ there in like march and i could barely move by noon cause its so sticky and flat. fuck timbo in the ass, at least meadows isnt that horrible.
 
it was awhile up but the reason the shooting star park was built last year was because of ike smith. he went up to dave was like, 'we've got the extra snow, can we build it?' and dave riley was all for it, but now that he's gone and ike's traveling more (i'm pretty sure, he's pollards good friend, for any of you who have seen pull or idea) it probably won't be built. i hope to god tho htat they do
 
Yes timby is flat, but we are talking park here. Hands down, timby parks were better maintained in the spring compared to meadows last year. I was so pissed that meadows only had the superpipe open one day in the spring while I was there. Also, timby actually has at least one skier on their park crew.
 
your right timby is better maintained but its right under the blazing sun in most of spring and you cant even get speed to hit anything after 12!
 
the park on cascade was sick last year.. and the super park jumps, well too narly for me, maybe this year i'll suck it up and be able to hit the small ones though.
 
ya so forest park, i decided to play in it today. and wow, fucking bull shit, you have to start from way above the park to get speed for the hits and everytime i tried i got cut off by fucking retarted snowboarders. i actually straight up yelled at them and i wwas like :"your fucking tarded, learn oark etiquitte or get the fuck out of the way". annoying, i officially hate meadows on weekends.  on another note.. nice fresh runs early in the day!!
 
ima bring back this thread. fuck meadows in the ass, they took all 5 of our passes for "pointing down" hrm on our second to last run, when the slow signs were tipped over and there was noone there

the patroller was a dick, passes gone for a week + 30 minute class sunday, but going to bach next sunday so i guess its gonna be about two weeks till i can get my pass back and go to the class

 
haha sucks to be danny. jk, but that blows man, there are like 3 chill patrollers at meadows and the rest are dirty buttholes
 
seriously, take the extra time, maybe a little extra money and go to bachelor. it will be worth it. so much more terrain, and parks are SOOO much better. better crafted and bigger
 
i cant be positive, but from what ive seen id say better than meadows, but way worse than bachelor
 
the HRM park was so gay the other day, you could hit the step up at full speed from like halfway up the park and still case the landing...boo for snowboard park crews.
