Anyone confidently know screw dimensions for chetlers?

I'm assuming 4.1x9.5 but not positive as the topsheet doesn't say

Thanks brohams

haha, good luck finding that one here. i havent had to mount the pair we have in our shop (havent sold yet) but i would assume you are correct in that on

just call atomic? This seems like the most accurate way. For the record, i would 4.1 and make sure to tap it correctly.

I just went 3.6... I do that on most skis unless there is metal. It might be a hair tougher to screw it in, but it's not going to hurt them. at all. in fact I always use a 3.6 on armadas with thin cores to prevent stripping the screws out.

Haha when I opened this thread I thought it was going to be a hate thread about the dimensions (142-123-134) of the bentchetler. And then I was like whoa, Silence is such a legit guy I wonder why he is complaining. Then I realized I am an idiot and don't know a thing about mounting skis.

Do you have a tool to tell you the thickness? When I mounted my EPs I used a 3.6 bit cause they are thin.

Yeah I ended up realizing how thiun they are after I bubbled the bases of my EP Pros :(

but I have the same question about mounting Bent Chetlers because I'll be getting mine in a few weeks :D

This means your screws were too long. You should have ground em down a mm or two. As for bit length, just hold em up to the side of the ski, if it looks too long, it probably is. This isnt rocket science. Use a 4.1 diameter bit.

Only use a 4.1 bit if it specifies to do so, otherwise use a 3.6. I would use a 3.6 in this case. It refers to the diameter of the bit not the depth, both 4.1 and 3.6mm bits will be the same depth. If you bubble the base its because they arent the right length screws (ie forgot the riser plate, non standard screws etc...). Use a 3.6 only use 4.1 on skis with metal in them or if they specify.......

I just used the stock Jester screws on my EPs, and I guess I just assumed I wouldn't have to grind them. Dumb move on my part, but I stopped before any real harm was done. I guess I got too excited to mount them and neglected a very simple check.
