Scratchs Good or Bad

My friend just got a pair of rossi scratchs and they are definately sick lookin. But we are both hearin now that they arent as good as they look. A lot of people that have them say that they break really easily. Is this true or not?

 
yea i heard that too, but then i heard that they put a thin rubber coat on the top to make them more durable, but im not sure

 
the first line of them broke and delammed at the tail, but they fixed that problem over the summer.

I demoed some BCs a couple of months ago. They were a real nice ski. It was a pow day to and they were awsome in it. Didn't try them in the park but they did feel quite heavy compared to pocket rockets.

Freshies for a week after a dump? Temple Basin - Hell Yeah!

 
Scratchs? top or bottom, if on the bottom just get them shaved and waxed a bit, dont worry about the top, look dosent matter.........

dude they had huge problems before with the screw for bindings pulling out of the ski. they fixed this an put in a plate. all the edges got super adhesive so no edge will ever pop out. the top is rubber and dampens the vibrations in the ski so that your ski will NEVER have pressure cracks. oh and the new top sheet basically can't chip. they are bombproof now, not a thing wrong with em.

Anyways. My 2 Cents. From what I can tell on my one day out on them so far, they rode really really well. I loved the edge bite on them, and they tended to float nicely ontop of the crud that was at Killy. Very decent skis, I'm happy as hell with em right now.

the top sheet bieng soft rubber wouldnt they slice easily with the edges running over them

they are made out of a wooden coar thats why there soo heavy. but i dont think that has stopped any one from going huge on them. Now you just wont have to worry about breakin them like u would with the salomons or any other foam coar

Just how much heavier are they, not in terms of grams or anything. But how much more difficult is it to throw down inverts and crazy spins on them compared to others?

 
they are shit, the worst skiis ever made, i've had 3 friends brake them, and rossi won't warranty them, plus rossi makes their skis on indian reservations and makes the little alchoholic kids make their skiis for nothing

DAmmit, I just picked up my pay cheque today and FINALLY have enough money to pick up the scratch BC, and now I hear their CRAP ahhhhhhh piss me off. It took me so long to decide on them, oh well better to find out now than on the hill.

 
dude, you want the truth? The truth is that everyone's personal preferance is different. Some people decide they are shit. some people love em. The only way you can find out if you like them or not is to ski on them.
