Scratching you Scratches

Has anyone with Scratches, or previous owners of Scratches, noticd that little chunks of te paint from the ski will fall of? It's as if an entire chunk (always beside the edge) will just start to peel away. I have Scrathes FS from last season (red and yellow top, black/yellow base). Any information about this or an explanation as to why this is happening would be appreciated. As well, if you know how to fix these scratches that are already there, please post....

that's cause you have the rubber top sheet and unfortunatly that's the nature of rubber. i have the new bc's 2nd production and they got rid of the rubber top sheet on them, the first print of the bc's this year had them but then they scraped them because of that, not much you can do about it unfortuantly

yeah i took mine out for the 3rd time yeaterday and they were fine at the beggining of the day but by the end the rubber was peeling by the end of the day.

 
at my shop we have this stuff called ski saver and it's just a roll of long clear, strong sticker that you put on the topsheet. we mainly use it over stickers or to put on the rental skis but im sure it'd work great for the scratches

 
the old scratches seemed scratch proof because of the top sheet

well i just got back from the shop and the tec said to just appoxie the top back down and it will be fine. I need to look into the ski saver

 
My scratch last year did that.. they hole side of the top sheet chiped off from my edeges.. stupid mutes.. well.. sent them away.. and got 675CDN of credit at the shop.. so got me some 181 1080. Rossignol is really good with Werrainty

 
holy shit, y do the scratches chip so ez! i was demoing em and i musta made like 10-20 chips in them on groomed runs

the guy at my shop said that you cant return them for that because of the warenty seas it does not cover natural ware and tear. Then the shop owner seas nice try get the hell out of my store.

 
This thing, the 'ski saver', what is exacly? Can anyone tellme any brands of that? Ive got new scratchs and i dont want them to peel off.

hmm, never heard of 1080's doing that, that's just strange. Even with the Scratches chipping like they do, the do not however, scrath, which is awesome (awsome?) Anyway, Scratches rule, and thanks for all the input guys...

Yeah the rubber top sheets on mine are all chipped from crossing the skis, but i still prefer the rubber to the non-rubber versions. Plus when it chips off, its bright yellow underneath.

I put stickers all over them... like all my skis... I don't know if it actually helps that much, but my top sheets are in pretty good shape.
