Scratch vs. Sprayer Scratch?

Im a snowboarder, and Im looking to start skiing. My buddy is probably gonna sell me his old Scratches, but Im wondering what the difference is? In case I look to buy some new Sprayers. Aside from the do-it-yourself graphics, I mean. Are they lower quality?

no ive seen some really good skier right out of the gates. so quality might be an ishue. i would go with new skis over old ones and used ones.

I've skiied before, and I know I can do some tricks, which isnt bad for only skiing two weeks. But how do they compare

well scratches are better but if u want new skis sprayers would do u fine, what year are ur friends scratches?

They were used for one season, maybe 40 days, tops. I think they only thing wrong is minor base damage (he cant/doesnt do rails) and the topsheet spiderwebbed at the tips

scratchs - stiff, uber poppy, wider at the waist, more expensive

sprayers - more flexy/buttery, smaller at the waist, lighter, cheaper

if you are new to skiing the sprayers might be a better buy for ya, but you cant really go wrong, they are both sick skis. The sprayers arent neccesarily lower in quality they are just a different ski.
