Scratch ski bases

I have the scratches and i can tell if i have gone through the base to the core i have been on them for 6 days sliding rails. is that enought the get the core. its werid there is a hump then a divet, then another hump, and on the last hump there is a clearish spot on it. i am kinda confused

Yeah, post a pic. My Scratches did odd things on the bases too. There'd be little ripples that looked like they were caused by extreme heat. Doesn't sound liek what you're describing, but my 2 cents nonetheless.

Have you ever seen a little kid slide back down the inrun of a kicker without going over? This is why parents shouldn't dump their kids off anywhere near the park...
 
the scratch edges and bases are weird. i learned to slide rails on a pair, and the edges sometimes are really strong, and sometimes they crack really easy and a whole lot of edge material comes off. i notice the whole bumpy thing too. are you talking about core shots(when something goes all the way through your base to the core)? the solution is to have your local competent shop fill them with p-tex, or you can do it yourself if you think you can (tognar toolworks has a mailorder catalog you can order, free, with loads of helpfull stuff in it, not to mention what you need ot fix your problem). good luck

i talked with my friend and to him he says taht the edge is poppin out and the things that hold the edge on the ski are whats popping out.

as long as you didnt do something out of the ordinary to cause the edges coming off you should be able to get a new pair free, i think
