if you knew anything about anything you would know that the bc is far better for anything outside the park and the fs is useless outside the park

your a joey

i ride BC's for park in ontario, im sure you can hendle them for soft snow.....

definately BC's and nice and long too

Smoking pot leads to uhh... I forget.

I say forget twins for carving and get some other skis, like Atomics or something for ripping. Dynastars are money for that too....but save the twins for the park. If you must get Scratches, get the BC's for carving, or Pocket Rockets. Peace....

Life is simple: Eat, sleep, ski.

Apparently throwing snowballs at moving vehicles is a felony and can land you in prison for a year. Who knew?

how did this turn into a discuss about carving, i dont think bryan cares about carving too much, he wants a ski for softer snow and out of the park a bit i think....

I would go with the BC for sure. Although you might want to look at the Pocket Rockets too. I rode 'em yesterday for the first time and was pretty impressed with how they handled all over the mountain.

anyone have the 176? also how much do the BC's weigh like compared to the 1260 or the scratch FS..info is appreciated

Yeah I got the FS's and they arent too good in powder, but otherwise they are great on groomers, bumps, jumps pipes and rails obviously. Good for big mountain, but not if its deep powder. They are a little more versatile then people think.

I just mounted my Scratch BC 176. SICK SICK SICK. fast, smooove like butta, ride great fakie, and do it all, from steeps to cruising to park. Haven't tested them in the pipe yet, but since I suck at riding pipe it doesn't matter. I'll let you know a little more after I get a couple more days on them. I'm hitting blackcomb glacier tomorrow, and I'm expecting some freshies.

i don't know how useful the BC would be in all east coast riding... the FS is pretty wide anyway, i'd just go with it....my two cents

'you should probably get bindings or it will be hard to stay on your skis...don't get gloves tho, gloves are out. just use a cigarette to keep your hands warm' -221

FS is fine all mountain. BC is probably better. BC is good for park. FS is better. Both are good. Can't go wrong.
