Scratch BC Help

I'm really thinking about getting a pair for all mountain (in Colorado, mind you). What do you guys think? How well would they be for an all around ski to ski bumps, groomers, and especially powder-yeah I know powder is what they are geared for. I'm a little worried about the turning response because I have heard that they are a pretty soft ski. I would be getting them in 182 because I am 5'11' and 175. Also, is there any significant difference between the 04-05 and the 05-06 to think about? One more thing- if not the Scratch BC's, what would you recommend for what I am looking for?

I ride an 0405 182 scratch bc for everything and it is wonderful. If you want more pow, go with the new 2006 scratch bc as it is wider (97 rather than 90 on mine underfoot). Also I wish I was on 185 armada arv. So look at that too, no matter what you do mount +3 from "modern" line forward, or more. Get a little longer than you want (barely) and mount a little further forward.

Need 1 Rossi Scratch POLE any size pm me.

Brand new Giro 9. MX size XL color black XL = 59-61.5cm. PM me if you want it.

good advice. I used the Scratch BC as an all mountain ski as well, but it was just a tiny bit soft for me (I am heavy). Then I got the ARVs and loved them.

I dream of winter.

From what I've heard the new BC is stiffer and wider than last years BC which makes it a better all-mountain ski. The other ski I would suggest would be the Vicious.

185 arv's sound like a good ski for you. I don't know much about the BC's, but I know their pretty soft.

I'm 145 lbs. and I skied the 0304 Scrathc BC which is the same as the 0405 this past season and I thought it was great. It was stiff enough for me because of my light weight. If I were you and you plan on using them a lot in the Pow I'd opt for the 188's. Arv's are good too, maybe look into the JP vs. Julien for more of a Pow ski

The '06 Scratch BC is a ski I'm looking into too. What size do you guys think would be good. No park with these skis, only big mtn, hard pack, tight trees and crud (I ski in the BC Interior). They come in a 172 and 178, I'm thinking a 178 but it might be long in the trees.

The ones i demoed felt really dead.
