So, some genius decided that 'Politically correct' should be applied to ski graphics, and those great looking scratch BCs that we were going to see next year are getting a graphical overhaul. Being in favour of balance, myself, I thought I'd do the same thing as the activist who wrote that article, and give everyone on NS who liked those graphics a chance to E-mail Rossi and let them know what you think about this. There are 38,000 of us. We should be able to do SOMETHING...

Those graphics kicked ass, and there's no reason something like that, which isn't intentionally offensive and has to be interpreted to be so. Pretty soon they're going to tell us that calling a ski 'Public Enemy' promotes crime, or that the 'Seth Pistol' sounds violent. Personally, I don't want to see that kind of thing happen. how can they change the graphic of the ski if it's already in production?

I completely agree, those graphics were nice. I heard from some other post that Rossignol was going to revert back to the 2003-2004 Graphics, and only change the color scheme. That's kind of lame, although its the ski that matters, the new graphics were quite nice.

the bc graphic (freddy's razor hand slashing through a girls throat supposedly) offended some pasty spineless dude and he wrote a estrogen filled article about how it was offensive to women, so they changed it.

and to me, the fs looks like a 45 angle view of the left side of a slightly angry looking porcelain mask sort of thing with a blood tear coming from the left eye. and i'm probably completely wrong too

I usually will not relegate myself to name calling but you all are DUMBSHITS! If you look closely at the graphic it is a girl getting her throat slit, the red sidewalls signify blood dripping from the wound. That is not being pc, that is just wrong. That is why the graphics were changed. Chicks ski too, you cant be that disrespectful.

I am going to get flamed beyond reason but...I agree with the change, however I think that they are awesome graphics. Rossi took a risk and it blew up in their face. I totally see how someone found it offensive. It would kick ass to have a pair after they're discontinued.

Personally, I don't think anybody would have been offended if they hadn't said anything, so it was stupid to point out what the graphic was suppossed to be. I didn't see it before they said anything. I just thought it was some mutant alien chick w/ 3 big hairy nipples.

You'll have to understand that Rossignol is a huge corporation with a gigantic ass to cover. But it does suck that they felt it was nessecary to change the graphic. Oh well, you can always NOT buy their ski right?

i am just trying to say that it is Ridiculous that because a SELECT FEW thought the graphics were degrading, then felt the need to get rid of them. I mean WTF?? THERE ARE PEOPLE GETTING SHOT EVERY DAY ON TV! THERE ARE PEOPLE GETTING KNIFED TO DEATH IN MOVIES, damn it pisses me off

Well, the problem comes directly from today's court system. Only there can the needs, or opinions of the few outweigh the needs, and opinions of the many. It's a lesson of the real world, and that's how things go when tolerance and political correctness is preached as good for everything. It causes thigs like this to happen for fear of a lawsuit, which would be bound to happen. I mean I heard somewhere that an employee of some company was looking through the company's computer system and saw the words 'master' and 'slave' in there as in reference to different types of storage... They tried to sue the company on grounds of racism or something like that, I have no idea how that ended up. But it's just an example of how stupid things in this world today have gotten. By the way^ I meant nothing on the sig statement, but those were just song lyrics; 6 songs, makes a mighty long protest, this isn't a political page...

Thanks for your positive comments and have every intention of continuing to be the innovative company that we are, and we do appreciate your support of the graphic... it really was not intended to offend anyone... it was done to be an abstract satire of the horror films, but clearly some were offended needlessly... it's not a question of 'giving in', it's a question of sensitivity to some people's profound feelings on the issue. We had a very very limited number of pair in the country, as the shipments of 0405 product don't begin arriving until this summer, for the most part.

All things considered, we have decided to modify the graphic... see our release below:

First of all, MIKESKI, change your icon, that's mine, second of all, that sucks about the graphics. The artist must be pissed, I thought the skis looked really cool, some of the best looking ever made with the contrasting color, and the use of negative space. I don't see how they can have a girl's tits on a ski for two years, and when they use some neg. space to signify a well known horror film, the skis get pulled. Wierd stuff, people need to chill. If you don't like them, don't buy them.
