Look at it this way: poor people will be forced to keep a child, even if they cant afford it. Rich people will have the abortion in Canada.

You can't prove your point by using a logical fallacy ? Vaccinations are for public health. Pregnancy isn't an epidemic/pandemic. Choosing to not get vaccinated affects both you and everyone around you. Abortion solely affects the woman. Apples and oranges.

Holy shit that post on bringing war to Rural America because the cops wont protect them is the most insane thing I have read in a while. I mean, there are people out there that literally train every week for that scenario...

At the end of the day Roe v Wade was a crappy backdoor supreme court decision and the matter should have been taken up by Congress who actually make the laws. Abortion is a contentious issue which really should be left to the states per the 10th Amendment anyway.

Okay let’s look at statistics about who is getting abortions.

60% of women who receive an abortion already have at least one child. So no, it’s not some random one night stand resulting in a pregnancy in most cases.

45% of abortion patients live with their partner. Defacto or married.
https://www.guttmacher.org/report/characteristics-us-abortion-patients-2014

More over, you can’t claim to be pro life and not support universal health care, welfare and other programs that help support parents to raise a child. Children are expensive to raise and forcing someone to bring a child into their world when they’re financially not ready is incredibly cruel.

A child should not be punishment for having sex, and contraception sometimes fails. Also don’t act like conservatives aren’t going to go after contraception for women after this.

Get politically involved folks. Odds are pretty high that the country looks a lot different in the next 10 years.

If you want to get really doomerpilled and see what's coming down the pipeline just read the Texas GOP's 2022 positions and platform.

View attachment 1045433

View attachment 1045434

Just a few snippets. Some other fun things include attempting to get rid of the EPA, withdrawing from the UN, removing sex ed from schools, removing education regulation and more.

This is the official platform of the largest state GOP.

I mean this is a pretty predictable backlash on a number of fronts. The Religious Right / Neocon party has been looking for ways to claw there way back into power since Trump bulldozed that dog and pony show in 2016. Then the Left has gone off the rails on the crazy train with widespread BLM riots with historic levels of damage, anti-white programs across school districts, parents fighting school boards for allowing inappropriate sexual content in younger grades including taking kids to drag shows etc, the trans movement which is an increasing social epidemic of young people suckered into permanent mutations or hormone drugs, boys in girls locker rooms and sports all jacked up etc.

All this creates the perfect grounds for the old guard Republicans to just stand up with a list of bullet points to counter this craziness with a hard line and people will vote for them. That is the problem with politics in the US, ever since Obama ended up being a corporatist shill, the Liberals went from a party to supports the regular American to a increasingly radicalized social movement that pushes the limits until people snap. On the other hand, Trump permanently disrupted the Republican party but instead of actually building a new cohesive platform on it, the whole thing devolved into a cult of personality and the Neocons are just biding their time until the vacuum is big enough to let them in.

In any case, we are in for a shit show in the next few years for sure.

"I’m not saying that every single homosexual that’s alive right now has committed that act with a child already because it could be they haven’t had the opportunity yet and they will at some point later in their life," he said. "This is why we need to put these people to death through the proper channels of the government. ... These people are not normal. They’re not your average everyday sinners. ... They have no hope of salvation.

These people should be put to death. Every single homosexual in our country should be charged with a crime. The abomination of homosexuality that they have, they should be convicted in a lawful trial. They should be sentenced with death. They should be lined up against the wall and shot in the back of the head"

-Steadfast Baptist Church

And we can get into Westboro and the whole "God loves dead soldiers" thing?

Or you know, when people broke into the capital, delayed the transition of power, and called for the VP's head while standing around a noose?

Just pointing out that we can pick and choose from both sides here.

That was some delusional stuff. 100 people from a city can come and flatten a rural town? Not a freaking chance. That's where the people who stockpile guns and know how to use them live.

Why do you think I was calling you a conservative. Don't even see an implication, just said we can pick and choose from both sides.

Although I have my values, i know we are a lot more split on opinions than people in their echo chambers believe. I just want to see consistency in the processes. So eliminating states rights on gun restrictions, while at the same time expanding states rights on abortion, i’m pissed. Just like i was pissed when McConnell wouldn’t let Garland get sworn in by Obama “cUz ElEcTiOn yEaR let the voters speak”, yet rammed in Barrett on election year immediately after Ginsburg died, i’m pissed. I actually threw my American flag in the trash after Ginsburg died and Mcconnell immediately began to seat barrett. I got a new one I fly now, but honestly still, fuck this country. But America is on a death spiral, so there’s that. But just like Putin’s cancer havin ass, the US would love to burn down the world down on the way out

What about the baby's body?

*Embryo until 8 weeks

*Fetus until birth

Let's not sugar coat this.

I have a great idea though. For all these supporters of the bills with no exceptions for rape or incest, let's take their sperm and use it to fertilize an egg in their child. See if they still want the fetus then.

Also anyone arguing about nonviable births are morons. They can't survive outside the womb, period...not to mention what they look like at that stage ?. Don't make me start posting miscarriage pics in here.

Then you got the folks who terminate a pregnancy based on either genetic or biopsy findings suggesting a terminal illness or other severe medical conditions the future child would have. Ban that as well? OK then all the supporters of the ban can take care of them. I'm sure they'd be welcomed with open arms. Who is gonna pay for those social services too? Surely not those actively trying to roll back medicaid/medicare. You can't have it both ways and I can guarantee that this push to end abortion will not end at the states if the bible thumpers have anything to say about it. What's even more interesting is those social services are most lacking in the states that are most likely to enact strict abortion rules. So fucked.

One of the biggest critiques of the pro-life group is that they don't care for mom and child after birth. CPCs do exactly that though. Help provide pre natal care, many have social workers on staff to help work through needs such as housing, food, childcare, etc. They work to come up with solutions, just not the one you want.

Or coudnt get laid in the first place.

Or feel like women are objects only meant for reproduction. They also believe women can shut down their reproductive cycle when raped and that 100% babies are born pink, beautiful and perfect after birth without complications.

They also think that sex is still a sin and sexual pleasure should not be enjoyed by anyone because sex should only be for reproduction and nothing else.

In fact, pro-life people arent looking out for fetuses, babies or the mother; they want people to suffer the consequences of accidental pregnancies from sex for pleasure. They also believe that learning about sex, makes you want to have sex.

its not about the children, its about their insecurities and lack of real life education.

Sounds like more psywar divide and conquer to me. Why would you be pissed at a corrupt frog for not allowing a foreign agent Zionist to be seorn in? Though, Barrett is just as much as a buffoon.

Ginsburg was beloved by the oil companies, ruled against paying overtime to Amazon warehouse workers... if only she had supported equal rights for everyone because she was utterly silent when Zionists were bombing Palestinian women and children; she also joined a decision in 2014 expanding the doctrine of qualified immunity from police to paid agents of the state who are not full-time employees, and in 2017 signed off on a decision permitting Donald Trumps mostly Muslim travel ban to go into.

MURICA

i always find it odd that people bash religion. Having a belief in a higher power is detestable? I just don't fucking get it.

There is a reason that mankind has survived for hundreds of thousands of years and IMO a lot of it is based on hope and dreams of a higher power.
