Just moved to Fort William "Nevis Range" for the winter and heard there is some

really sic lines to be had if you don’t mind a little walk, So first nice day

hiked up to the summit to do a little recky

just to see what lines I could see from the summit and right enough

there are lots this is one I spotted with a 10 min hike from the summit looks

like it will fill in nice, and you should make the brave heart chair with a

traverse and hike.

Bring on the Snow !!

If you unsure about off piste the ski patrol @Nevis are running a avalanche

transceiver park this year and the ski school and ski patrol will be working

together to help guide more people over the back. KJ

Nice one. I've never hit any of those lines, but I've wanted to do for a long time. I'll hit you up before I come shred one time and we can get some Scottish Newschoolers action. REPRESENT!

So sick! Scotland got a tonne of snow last year, only problem was that the access road was always closed.

sick... makes me want to cancel my verbier season and stay at home in scotland! The snow will probably be better!

Lets just hope we get decent coverage this season! Probem is it's so unpredictable here and the forecasts get it completely wrong half the time hah. Those lines could be really sick, all depends on how much snow we get I guess.

We should have a scottish NS day skiing :D

you guys got any idea on when the estimated opening time for cairngorms is? i know this will be hard to predict but just a VERY rough guess(e.g whats the soonest date possible and what's most likely)

thanks

if this year is anything like last it should open soon as i've got a lift ticket up on my wall from early season last year for the 14th of Nov. having a look at the forecasts though there is a occluded front coming in so hoping its cold enough for a reasonable dump to get some snow. but it shows nothing before friday

Some pics of the back cories at Cairngorm in March last year

Was a brilliant day, bit of a hike to the top but can ski out the bottom and back to the train so loops are possible. Also had to dodge ice climbers as some of the corie is marked grade 1 and 2 routes but they were friendly enough.

Another great Scottish back country ski sight is http://www.haggistrap.co.uk/

loads of good pics on there
