Scottish Big Mountain Skiing

very cool, i had no idea scotland had terrain like that. doesn't make me want to go there but looks fun if you're a local.

the edit wasnt really the point of this thread it was more of an example and i wanted to see what people though real scottish skiing was about but its not an edit aimed at NS and tbh im not a major fan of the song choice.

both the snowfall and season length are fairly changeable. the season can be anything from a sept-early july season (like 09/10. which is when the video was filmed) or a nov-may (like 08/09) but if your into ski mountaineering there are some pretty gnar lines you can do almost all through the year (last year a woman skied every month in a year in scotland with no glaciers) and not to forget we get out fair share of sweet pow days.

Lines were rad, looks like you guys went to a lot of effort to get in there!

a bit of advice, unless you have a fixed aperture lens avoid zooming as it changes the exposure. hats a super pet peeve of mine. Oh and use a tripod, or at least a more stable one.

Lines for future adventures.

wow, I had no idea that you could ski like that in Scotland. I've been there once before in the summer, makes me a little curious to check it out in winter...

found out today he is re-editing it for a mountain film festival, so i will post the video once its done. Its nice to see its been so well received and an education to some of you. check out the blog section of the link in the first comment to see the story behind some of the shots.
