Ive been in a toss up. I know the armadas never bend becuase my friend has a pair and the handles are cool but i heard scott makes a dec. pole too. ive always skied with rentals but my dad has offered me to get a new pair on him. sooo please help

i've got the armada AR6 poles (purple with yellow stripes). they're sick looking and people always like them, but BEWARE- i bent mine on the first day. it wasn't the poles fault, any other pole would have bent. however, i did feel really dumb after spending $50 on poles last spring and bending them my first day out. so i'll probably never spend over $10 on poles again. and i don't know where to find replacement shafts.

gets some plain poles and then sharpie them up. don't over do it. gives you something unique and you can find poles for CHEAP(backcountry evogear or maybe even your local salvation army..)

that way if they break you won't have put out that much.

yeah i just ordered the scott issued team pole i ask the backcountry guy and he said they were pretty deisel

the question is do u like bike grips or the knucks? i love my scotts, and i dont really dig the bmx grips. might be just me.

Scott Poles... I love my Team Edition poles and they're pretty much bombproof. This is my second season using them and they haven't bent at all. Maybe I'm just lucky idk lol.

armada if they snap you can go by replacemet shafts for 10 $ at my ski shop they come off and can be replaced in like 5 sec.

Impossible. Go totally for Scott 4 series poles. you might pay the extra buck a little bit . ut it is not that bad. The 4 series a litteratly un-snapable. They rock. I have the team issues , and rode with them a year last year . never had a problem. they are not heavy to so. Very Very very good buy!!!!

Poles are poles, I just saw some guy snap some carbon fiber ones. None of them are bombproof, and none of them are worth more than a few dollars.

yeah...poles are poles, get the cheap ones, I have made the stupid mistake of buying carbon/composite poles and destroyed 2 pairs. One of which was Scott...

My carbon poles have lasted literally 10 times longer than any metal ones I've used, and counting.

Bought 2013 Armada poles. They are made in Austria and were nothing special. Bend them on the first day when my buddy fell on them. Rebending (with hairdrier) will destroy their integrity I read. Will buy Carbon ones because of lower weight. But I don't expect them to not bend or snap if someone falls on them. Poles are to thin. Generally Carbon is much more durable then aluminium, however they cannot do magic.
