what all do you think about them? are they pretty light and how's the pop? do they hold up pretty well?
 
fuck 4frnts, get p3s, hella dope ski, theyre pretty light, but ive got fks 155s on em so that makes em quite a bit heavier then if you put like a salomon binding on it. theyre real poppy, hold and edge real well and are generally good for all mountain skiing if youre not a park rat. theyre stable switch, i got mine mounted true center so theyre even better and they still shred the gnar groomers. i highly recommend them.

Definitely a great do everything ski.

I have mine mounted +2 and the feel very well balanced, although I would mount them at recommended if I planned to do more than 50% all mountain.

Nose is softer than I expected, which is great for buttering, but still stiff enough to blast through crud.

They hold an edge very well (even on east coast ice) but if you're skiing very aggressive and get forward you can overpower them (but I probably just shouldn't be trying to ski them like my race stock GS skis...)

No complaints on durability yet, still like new after the first 1/2 of the season.

I just wish I went with the 184's (I have the 178's)

For reference I'm 5'8" 165lbs
 
I'd mount them center if i got them and i was only comparing them to the tnk's because that's what i'm riding now and they're falling apart but i like the way they ski. how well do the p3's hold up to a lot of rail abuse?
 
I have the P4, but I am very impressed by the quality of Scotts skis. Super durable and well built. A great ride.
 
Haven't has too much time on the P3's, but they definitely appear to be very solid.

If they're anything like Scott's old skis, they're bombproof.

I'm still using my old Scott Intoxica's for rails (I bought them used and have been skiing them heavily since 2003....)
 
I just skied all day at Sunday River, ran over many many rocks and other things under the fresh snow... thought for sure I would have multiple core shots and gouges, banged up edges etc...

But nothing, bases and edges are still near perfect

They blast through the crud great too
 
I own 2 pairs - the 178 and the 184. I weighed my unmounted 184s a couple of days ago, and they weighed 1940 grammes, which is the same weight as the Foils in 182.

So the weight is comparable to Foils, if that tells you anything.
